Merry christmas LJ land
So yeah, Christmas was yesterday. Didn't do anything terribly exciting, just a big old christmas dinner with some of the family (yay home-cooked christmas dinner :D), then some more family showed up and we all lazed about together for most of the day.
Presents-wise I got... tickets to Hellfest and Bloodstock! :D I also got two pairs of headphones (proper ones, not earbuds). I had asked for just the one, so I can listen to music/play guitar late at night without disturbing my neighbours and with a mic for use in Team Fortress and such-like, but my mum couldn't find a single pair of headphones that did both music and voice communications well without being stupidly expensive, so she bought one for music and another one for gaming on behalf of my grandmother. :D She's good like that, my old mum.
Cool stuff I got that I didn't ask for include a pair of weightlifting gloves, which is neat as it should hopefully help with some of the grip problems I've been having lately on my deadlift, and a wristwatch that doubles as a heart rate monitor. The latter is really nifty and is great for keeping an eye on the ol' ticker while I'm jogging. Actually makes it slightly easier as it keeps me from tiring myself out too quickly and hopefully should help me train even better. Really cool gift.
Also my uncle bought me a bottle of an ale called Piddle in the Hole, for no other reason that it was called Piddle in the Hole. Stupidly-named ale is the best ale. :D
