There once was a time when I said "I barely ever do memes" but it seems vacation and procrastination have rendered this statement invalid.
Reply to this meme by yelling 'WORDS!', and I will give you five words that remind me of you.
Then post them in your journal and explain what they mean to you.
Keep in mind that if I don't know you that well, your words might end up kind of odd or weird.
Anyway, here's what
kihanna said for me.
Speed Grapher: Probably my favorite anime ever. And I realize it isn't the best (the animation, oh god) but I think what made it so important to me was when I saw it and what that meant to me in fandom. Terrible as this may sound, it opened my eyes to a lot of aspects of anime that I never would have considered (and we're talking the social aspect as much as the racy gore and sex.) tl;dr: I was in 9th grade when I saw this and it basically made me think "If I can watch this, I can watch anything," and while that didn't necessarily prove to be true, it has made me consider a lot of things that I might have overlooked had I not seen it. *cough*No More Heroes*cough*
Viewtiful Joe: My favorite video game ever. Ever. I've beaten it more times than I can count and it still one of the few things that is 100% guaranteed to make me smile. Everything about it is perfect; the gameplay, the characters, the puzzles~ Few things are as close to my heart as Viewfitul Joe is &hearts
Journalism: Ahh, my dream job. Or is it? It's so hard to tell these days, with how journalism is becoming scarce in the world. My new dream job might be something in Editing, but as to what that entails, I hardly know...
Backstreet Boys:
All of our time spent in flashes of liiiiight~ What can I say about the Backstreet Boys that I haven't said already? Their voices are divine, they remind me of a past I didn't have, and they cheer me up the way only 90s pop can. I'm rooting for them always, even if their new record wasn't amazing, and even if their future records get worse. Unbreakable was great, but in my heart, I'll always be waiting for Kevin~
Baccano!: Here's a good example of a series that Speed Grapher made me more likely to like! Baccano is just so wonderfully violent, so perfectly hectic and so incredibly hilarious that I really can't recommend it enough. If you are on my F-list and haven't seen Baccano yet,
get to it! If you're outside the continental US then... my condolences. Please buy or rent the DVD, it is just that good! I even worked on some of the
novels last year. (Read those too &hearts)
In writing this I actually ended up going back to my old LJ account and reading through some of my old posts. I have to admit, I'm not too embarrassed. I was pretty hyper in 9th grade, it seems. A super fangirl, but nothing too terrible. Heh, it's kinda cute actually. I wanna go back in time and pat my fourteen-year-old self on the head.
