104 degrees under the weather

Starting on Thursday and ending just today, I had a fever. A serious fever, the likes of which I'd never experienced before. When I got home from school on Thursday, I could not move. I slept from 5pm till the next day, only to wake up with a temperature of 104. (Which was about the only thing that could keep me from taking my PreCalc make-up test.) After some heavy doses of Tylenol, I went to the doctor, he ordered some blood tests and I spent the rest of my time upstairs, drinking grape juice, downing Tylenols and playing Final Fantasy XII.

While I normally consider being sick from school to be something relaxing, the discomforts I felt these past few days were definitely not an experience I'd care to repeat. My head has been trapped in a tar-filled bubble for over 24 hours. As my way-over-the-heat-limit blood flowed through every inch of me, my pores screamed in pain, leading to by far the most irritating itchiness I have ever experienced. (Aloe gel, while capable of providing momentary relief, did only so as long as it felt cold on my heated skin.) I pray I never get a virus of this kind ever again. (And thank god it was a virus. I could've had dengue with a fever like that.)

Also, (heh) my language is very proper, you'll notice. The cause of this can be traced to spending far too much time pent up in a room with naught but FFXII to pass the time. Even when I was not playing, I would check my cellphone for fanfics, as I found a writer whose writing style captures the essence of Ivalice to the most minute detail. Truly, it must be her lovely, nigh-archaic style that urges me to write in such proper dawdle. (Haha, I sound like such a toff.)

If I were to speak casually I would say... I spent the last few days playing FFXII and I still don't see the end in sight! I love the story, but I'm suddenly so underleveled I could die! It took me forever to get the money to buy proper equipment for my dudes. This could all be solved if I just stopped going the balanced route and concentrated on three... Of course, I won't do that now, it's too late. Vaan and Basch are my tanks, Balthier is my speed-attacker (Poles=love), Fran is likes-to-attack-healer, and Ashe and Penelo are my full-on healers (Although, I admit, Ashe with a Mace deals some sweet damage.) I wish they delved more into Balthier's past (though this may come from that fic with Fframran) because I loooove Dr. Cid, that crazy bastard! I wish they showed him before he went magicite-crazy!

+Boo. No new HIMYM this week.

fangirling, life, nothing to lol about, final fantasy xii
