Mondays are TV days all around. First How I Met Your Mother, then Heroes.
How I Met Your Mother was fun~ Not as OMGAWESOME~ as the last one, but still made me laugh plenty. It also made me want a burger, hmm... In the meantime, let's see what highlights I jotted down tonight (I think I'll do this every Monday from now on).
First of all, choosing a place to eat. Ted kept suggesting different places, each of which Barney would sternly deny.
"Chinese?" "I hate Chinese." "Indian?" "I hate Chinese." "Mexican?" "I hate Chinese."
Can someone say 'He did this all for Robin?' Robin expressed serious hunger and wanted to eat a burger now. Anything for Robin, I could tell by those glances!! Every chance he got, Barney'd be glancing at Robin from the side. (They sat together at the booth again, I don't know whether to be sad or happy that nothing's changed.)
Also, please. Don't close-up to Marshall eating a burger in slow-motion. I am sooo hungry right now because of that...
Barney's obsession with Goliath National Bank is so Barney~ He might as well say "Hey, guess what, guys? The company I sold my soul to got bought~ Don't you love it?"
It's cute how Barney sat painfully close to Robin in the taxi drives in search for the burger place. She looked kind of uncomfortable (cuz she was really hungry) but Barney was probably thinking "You're gonna ruin it with her. You're gonna ruin it with her. You're gonna ruin it with her." Also there was a burger metaphor Barney made that I could just tell was a metaphor for Robin. I need to look up the exact quote, but it was just spot on.
Also much love for Barney <3 Always looking out for Marshall and Lily. He got Marshall that job in his company, even though jobs were tight~ (He mentioned they fired over 2,000 people in the merger)
So, over all, not a totally "wow" episode, but good for laughs all the same. Just give me some more character development next time! (Though having Marshall wearing pants again is definitely a good thing, thank you.)
Meanwhile in Heroes... stuff happened. Ugh. Okay, I dig Sylar acting sorta human, but other than that it's just... ugh. Get back on the horse, Heroes! I wanna see Parkman in action! I wanna see bad guys get whipped and Heroes not act like complete retards. Seriously, Heroes protagonists seem to be suffering from an incurable plague of stupid. 'Oh, let me shoot my brother to keep him from talking.' Did it ever occur to you to, I dunno, ask? 'Oh, woe is me. I can't feel. I'm gonna put the weight of the world on my shoulders.' How 'bout you stay put and do as your told? Revenge gets you nowhere, emokid!Claire!
....aaaand I should probably go study for History. Which I have not done. Check please.
PS: Wrote random bits for my story, hee~ I dunno if it's because I haven't written anything in a while but, this thing is just so much fun!
