giving crazy activists my phone number was probably a really dumb thing to do
I guess I shouldn't have given the LaRouchites my phone number. They
called on Wednesday, asking me to go to another of their meetings. I
was just heading out so I told them that and they were like ok so it
was fine. But then they called yesterday afternoon. They asked me
if I knew about general motors and I was like yes it is going
bankrupt but I've heard about your plan for GM and I think that it is
horrible. See they think the government should just take GM over and
tell it what to make. Basically, they want to turn the U.S. into a
socialist country. So I told them that I thought that was a bad idea
and that I like capitalism. And they said that their views were
directly supported by the Constitution, and preceded to recite it. So I
had to cut them off because I really had enough of them during that one
meeting I did go to and had no desire to listen to a lecture on the
Constitution, or rather, their skewed interpretation of the
Constitution. So I think they are mad at me because they sounded
annoyed when I said look I really think your beliefs are wrong and have
no intention of joining you. So hopefully they won't call again. I do
not regret going to one of their meetings though because it was an
insightful experience and I now can justifiably say that they are
lunatics.
