It has been a while since I posted about the comics I am reading. This is mainly because I am reading so few titles.
Superman: World of New Krypton- This is my favorite title right now. It is following the story of Superman re-locating to "New Krypton" to keep an eye on General Zod. It is doing a really good job of using the sci-fi elements of Superman's origin. It is also keeping me guessing where they are going. Each issue has some fun suprises and the current issue has the beginning of a nice "Mystery in Space" as Adam Strange and "Commander El" (Superman) team up to solve the mystery of a murder of one of New Krypton's ruling council.
Green Lantern/Blackest Night- I have bitched and bitched about the fact that having the threats be "different colored lanterns" isn't very creative, but the fact is Johns has been doing a good job of making the stories personal and interesting enough to bring me back. Is this a great comic crossover? No, but it is certainly a better crossover than any of the other recent ones (DC or Marvel).
Adventure Comics- It has been good. The latest issue put Connor Kent on hold to follow a story of Superboy Prime in a Blackest Night crossover.....and I actually enjoyed it. I haven't read the Tale of Three Legions, but am interested now in the recent issue's comment that there is a "Legion of Earth Prime." I am guessing that may be Waid's Legion series.
