Flavia and I went to see "Sea of Fools" at the
Purple Rose Theatre on Friday. The Purple Rose is a professional theatre company based out of Chelsea, Michigan and if you get a chance to see any shows, I highly recommend it. The theatre is a smaller theatre with the stage in the middle, so they are all good seats. The tickets seem very reasonable and the production was great. "Sea of Fools" is only showing until the end of this month, so if you want to see it, you would need to act soon. (There is a description of it at the web-site.) The next play starts in October and is "The Poetry of Pizza":
Professor Sarah Middleton arrives at the University of Copenhagen as a visiting poetry scholar, only to find her life irrevocably altered when she stops by a local pizzeria one night. She falls suddenly and unexpectedly in love with Soran Saleen, a Kurdish refugee who wins her heart with his unconventional pizzas. Across a huge cultural divide, the two romantics’ unlikely courtship arouses the passions of everyone around them, setting in motion a rash of culinary courtships and a chaotic comedy of errors.
