While
phaedra_evil is generally hard to beat in terms of weird-ass experiences and accomplishments, 2006 was in fact a significant year for me, so here's the review.
1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Married Todd. Traveled to the four corners of the United States. Got published. Worked as a wedding photographer. Touched a stingray.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
If I want to do something, I probably shouldn't wait for the new year to start--too much pressure.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My friend Kaylen. A couple more are on the way very soon (though not for Kaylen, as far as I know)!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Maggie.
5. What countries did you visit?
Just this one, but lots of it.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Time-management skills. The courage to stand up to people who treat me with disrespect. Some time in London.
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Kind of the whole month of June.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not killing my mother.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not killing my mother.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major. But I vomited in three different states.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Feesh's adoption fee.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
phaedra_evil, for getting out of Malta. Undercover E, for achieving anonymity. McNulty, for settling down with Beadie and giving up the booze.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
See nos. 7-8.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Breakfast, airfare, gas and tolls, mutual funds, PetSmart.

Finding a tablecloth to match the placemats my mother-in-law quilted for me. Watching Feesh climb the walls. Seeing my name all over the Chuck Close exhibition at the Munstitute.
16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
“Catch a Falling Star” by Perry Como. Pink Martini’s “Bolero.”

You mean next Christmas? Perhaps in Syracuse for once.

Sue and
the_sweet_cheat.
