Summary : Chinen's father left him and his mother when he was a kid for an unknown reason. 7 years later his mother is now remarried to Yamada's father. Ryosuke and Daiki are both his step brothers. Everything is fine until a certain feeling deep within Chinen starts forming and gets him confused towards his step brother Ryosuke.
“I’ll leave Yuri with you” he told his wife as he grabbed both of her hands and pet it. “I’m sorry for my mother’s action…but” he looks at her face into her eyes, “this is the best for the both of us.” She shook her head frantically, “no…no…I don’t want this to happen? Why must the both of us divorce just because of your mother?” she asked him while crying. It pained his heart to see his beloved crying in front of him.
“I’m sorry Yoko…but…”
“Shino, we’ve got to get going. Time isn’t on our side” his mother called for him, he shut his eyes tightly and then re-opened them. He looked at his wife taking in all of what she looked like and took in a deep breath, finally letting out a smile. “I wish…you well, and remember that you’ll be the only one in my heart forever” he grabbed her behind the neck and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Pulling away he turned around and walked away from her.
“If you loved me…why leave me?” she shouted after him, wanting him to turn back around and run up to her. Hug her and tell her that everything was just a joke that he was never going to leave her. Both of them were in love, why must he do this to her? She fell to the ground her knees and let her tears fall to the ground as her husband never turned back around.
7 years later….
“Yuri” Yoko called for her son as she stuck her head inside his room. Yuri looked up from his desk and smiled. “Hey mom” he greeted her. She smiled and walked in with a tray of fruits. She places the plate of fruits on his desk, “studying hard?” she asked him and patted his head. He nods, “mm, I have to past this history test” he told her, “don’t worry mom, I’ll past for sure to make you proud” he said and patted his chest.
She chuckled a bit, “I’m sure you’ll past it with flying colors. I’ll be in the kitchen if you need anything” Yuri nods and Yoko walks out of his room. Yuri watched as his mother shut his door closed before going back to his books.
‘It’s been 7 years since my father left our side. It’s been 7 years…my mother is now married to another man who…loves us dearly and considers me as his real son. He has two sons, one named Yamada Ryosuke and the other Yamada Daiki. Both of them are older than me of course with Daiki being the oldest one and Ryosuke the younger one. Of course he isn’t considered the youngest one in the family any longer ever since I came along. Both of them love my mother and I very much too. They do consider my mom as their mom as well. They’ve told me that they lost their mom when Ryosuke was still a very young kid. Ever since then, their father had been trying to search for a new mother for them and…eventually he found my mom. Does my mom still love my father? Of course…and she will always love my father. Why did my grandma separate them? I never really knew the answer to that because my mother too was unclear about it. It’s been 7 years since the incident…we can’t do much other than move on with our recent lives. I hope that in the future I’ll be given the chance to meet my real father…again…’
There was a sudden knock at Yuri’s door; “come in” he called from behind. The door opened and someone walks in. The figure walks up behind Yuri and hugs him from behind, “hey Yuri~” Yuri looked behind him, “oh hey Dai chan” he said with a smiled. Daiki unlatched himself from Yuri’s back and leans on the desk using his back. “Studying?”
Yuri nods, “mm, history test tomorrow”
“Ah~ I remember when I had history tests in school” Daiki said with a laugh, “of course I never studied, that was because I was a genius” he said with a laugh. Yuri shook his head, “confident aren’t we?”
“No not confident, I knew my stuff that’s all. If you understand what you’re learning in class then there’s no need to study”
“That’s a lie” another voice piped into their conversation. Daiki looked up from where he was at, “I wasn’t asking you anything Ryosuke” Ryosuke laughs and walks into the room. Like Daiki, he walked behind Yuri and hugged him from the back, placing his head on top of Yuri’s head. “Need any help?” he asked the younger kid. Yuri shook his head, “I’m fine, I want to pass this test without any help from my two older brothers” he said and looked at the both of them. Ryosuke laughs, “aww Ryo nii just wants to help you~” he said with a cute tone of voice.
Daiki’s face cringes, “ew Ryosuke that tone of voice of yours sounds disgusting, an over grown man shouldn’t be using it”
“You’re one to say Daiki, you also do it”
“That’s because Yuri likes it…neh don’t you?” Daiki asked Yuri and nudged him on the arm. “Mou…the both of you are distracting my study session here” Yuri said with a cute pout. Daiki laughs and pinches his cheeks, “hai hai, I was just coming in here to check how you’re doing that’s all. Anyways, I’ve got plans with Yabu and Hikaru, I’ll be back later” Daiki told the both of them. He grabbed a cherry from Yuri’s plate of fruits and popped it into his mouth.
“If dad comes home later and asks for me, tell him that I’m out with Hikaru and Yabu kay guys? Thanks” and with that Daiki left Yuri and Ryosuke alone in his room. Yuri turns back to his book and starts reading again with Ryosuke still hugging him from behind. “You sure you don’t need any help?” he asked Yuri again. Without Ryosuke noticing, Yuri’s face started to get red.
“Uh…yeah I’m sure” he said without looking at Ryosuke. Ryosuke chuckles and nuzzle his nose into Yuri’s hair. “Okay, if you need any help I’ll be outside with Keito okay?” Yuri nods. Ryosuke patted his head before leaving his room. After hearing the door shut with a click, Yuri finally let out his breath that he was holding in.
“I shouldn’t be having this kind of feeling towards him…after all he sees me as his younger brother and the both of us are step brothers. Yuri…concentrate…concentrate” he told himself.
