“Come back and visit us again Keiko chan” Chinen’s mother told her as Chinen and her both made their way to the front door. Keiko turned around and nodded, “hai, I’ll come back soon” she said with a smile. She then bows towards his mother and left outside once Chinen had opened the door. Chinen walked outside and closed the door and then took a deep breath of the night air.
“Thanks” he said while facing Keiko’s back. Keiko turned around and shook her head, “no problem Yu chan, c’mon walk me to the car” she said and walked off. Chinen followed behind her without saying anything else. Once the both of them got to the car, he opened the back door and she got in. “Ja, I’ll see you tomorrow at school then?” Chinen nods, “goodnight Yu chan” she said and closed the door. Chinen waved bye even though the glass was tinted. After watching the car disappear around the corner of the road, he retreated back to the house.
“Yuri” Chinen looked up once he heard his mother calling for him, “hai?”
She walked up to Chinen and cupped his face, “so…Keiko told me that you and she are going out” she said. Chinen nodded, “hai” he said quietly, and his mother smiled and patted his shoulders. “I’m so glad Yuri” she said and walked off. Chinen stood there rooted to the ground, after a good minute or so, he finally took off upstairs to his room. He opened and locked himself in his room. He slowly made his way to his bed; his eye vision blurs out on him which causes him to feel dizzy and made a grab to the closest thing to him. He held onto the side of his head. He shook his head and squeezed his eyes tightly and then opening them again. The blur-ness wouldn’t go away. Chinen shut his eyes tightly and felt his way through his room to his bed. Once he felt the soft cushion, he fell down and took in a deep breath. His eyes soften as he allows sleep to over come him.
Chinen’s mother stepped into her room and sat in front of her makeup table staring at her reflection. “You think I’m that stupid? I know you have a relationship with Yamada kun…but don’t worry Yuri. I will not allow you to ruin my plans for me” she said to her reflection with an evil smirk. “You’re the main reason why I had to marry your stupid father” she lets out a sigh and combs through her hair. “I’ll play your game…if that’s what you want, I’ll make sure you and Yamada kun will not end up with each other, even if that means that I’ll have to take one ones life…just a little bit more…and you’ll be over”
As the weekdays passed quickly, Friday finally came. Chinen stood at the roof top with Keiko and Yuto with him. “What’s with the depressed expression?” Keiko asked Chinen, Chinen sighed and pushed himself away from the fence. “Tomorrow…” he started, “mm?” Keiko answered back.
“Tomorrow…I’ll need you to go with me”
“Where?”
“To some dinner…I think, I don’t remember. But…my mom wants Ryo chan and I to meet his future wife” he said with his head down, “I couldn’t refuse to request since my soon to be step father asked me as well…last night” he said. Keiko nods, “and you need me to be there because I’m your pretend to be girlfriend deshou?” Chinen nods.
Keiko pats his back, “I’ll go with you, I just need to know what time though” Chinen finally looked up at her. “I’ll have one of our butlers come pick you up tomorrow around…5pm” he told her. Keiko nods, “alright, it’s settled then”
“Thanks again Keiko chan”
“No problem”
Saturday morning and afternoon went by quickly. Chinen stood there in front of the mirror fixing his tie. The door that connected his and Yamada’s bedroom opened and Yamada walked in. He made his way up to Chinen and hugged him from the back and sniffed Chinen’s neck. “You smell good” he complimented the shorter one. Chinen shut his eyes and smiled, “thank you” he said.
The both of them stood there in silent, “lets create an escape plan” Yamada said breaking the silence. “Why?” Chinen asked, “baka, that’s because I don’t want to meet my future fiancé or wife” he told the shorter one. Chinen let out a chuckle and spun around cupping Yamada’s face in his hands. “Baka, you’re attending this dinner because your father wants you to”
“But I don’t want to though” Yamada said with a pout. Chinen shook his head and pecked Yamada’s lips, “don’t be a kid baka” Yamada smiled, “hai hai” he grabbed Chinen’s hands and removed it from his cheeks. He then kissed the back of Chinen’s right hand, “can I make love to you right now? The way you look at this moment is getting me horny” he said with a smirk.
Chinen blushed and pushed Yamada lightly, “you’re such a pervert” he said with a smile. Yamada chuckled and pulled Chinen into an embrace, “I’m still working on a plan”
“For what? To escape tonight?” Yamada chuckled, “no…I’m still trying to figure how to convince my dad to drop this engagement thingy” he told Chinen. Chinen kept silent, “I don’t want to be married to a person I’ve never seen or love before ever in my life. I don’t get how my dad even got this idea into his head” Chinen chuckles.
Just then there was a sudden knock at the door, “Chinen sama, Keiko san is here” a maid said through the closed door. “Keiko?” Yamada asked pulling away from Chinen. “Gomen ne Ryo chan…but I had to bring her along with us” he said while looking at his feet. Yamada frowned, “I thought…” Chinen shot his head up to face Yamada, “she’s nothing more than just a friend, I swear” Chinen told Yamada quickly.
“Whatever” Yamada said and walked off, “Ryo chan!” Chinen shouted after him. Yamada ignored Chinen and went back to his room. Chinen let out a sigh of frustration and walked out of his bedroom. He made his way downstairs to the guest room. Once he was in the entrance way, Keiko stood up and smiled. “Do I look fine?” she whispered and Chinen nodded. “You didn’t tell me how I was supposed dressed like so…”
Chinen rubbed the back of his head and chuckled, “gomen Keiko chan, I totally forgot to tell you” Keiko pouted and pinched his nose, “obviously baka Yu chan” the both of them laughed. Yamada made his way downstairs and heard the both of them laughing. He walked up to the entrance and watch as Keiko and Chinen both stood there talking together. He frowned and crossed his arms across his chest, “ahem!” he purposely cleared his through loudly.
Chinen and Keiko both stopped laughing and looked at Yamada. “Ryo chan!” Chinen said with a smile on his face, without thinking twice about their surroundings. He quickly walked up to Yamada and grabbed him by the hand; “I want to introduce you to Keiko chan” he said and dragged Yamada up to Keiko.
“Keiko chan, this is Yamada Ryosuke” he said, “and Ryo chan, this is Keiko chan one of my childhood buddies” he said. Keiko stuck out her hand towards Yamada; “I’ve heard a lot about you from Yu chan, it’s nice to finally meet that awesome person” she said and winked at Chinen. Chinen blushed and looked at his feet; Yamada smiled and grabbed her hands shaking it. “It’s nice to meet you too Keiko san”
“Ah, just call me Keiko chan, no need to be so formal” she told him.
“Keiko chan?” From behind them, Chinen’s mother made her way into the guest room. “I thought I heard your sweet little voice” she said with a smile. Keiko looked behind them and bowed at her.
“Good evening Chinen san” she said politely. “What are you doing here?” she asked her.
“Ah…well Yu chan asked me to attend the dinner tonight with him” Chinen’s mother eyes widen, “ah sou ka, I’m glad that you were able to make it” she turns to look at her son. “You’re such a generous son” she told him and patted his head.
“The limo will be here any minute now” she told them and exited the room.
At the dinner party, the family along with Keiko made their way into the building. The men at the glass double doors bowed and opened the doors fro the family to walk in. They made their way into a certain room and took a seat. After waiting for a while, the door opened and a middle aged man walked up to Yamada’s father.
“Yamada san” he said, Yamada’s father stood up and the both of them bowed at each other. “I’m sorry for the wait” he told Yamada’s father. Yamada’s father shook his head, “oh no, we just got here Takahashi san” he told him. Takahashi san nodded and took a seat, he motioned for one of the man on the side to come to him. He whispered something into the man’s ear and the man nodded then disappeared behind the door.
“So, I would like to meet my future son-in-law” he said scanning at Yamada and Chinen. “Ah yes of course” Yamada san said, “Ryo chan come here” Yamada got up from his seat and walked up to his father.
“Hai” he answered, “ah so this is Yamada Ryosuke, your son deshou?” Yamada san nods, “Ryo chan, this is Takahashi Kento, he’s your future wife’s father, say hello to him” Yamada faced Takahashi san and bowed, “it’s nice to meet you Takahashi san” he said.
Takahashi san chuckled and patted his back, “I’m glad to be able to finally meet my future son-in-law” he said. Just then the door opened and the same man walked up to Takahashi san and whispered into his ear once more. Takahashi san nodded and stood up, “give me a moment” he told them and exited the room. He made his way down the hallway and opened a door to a certain room.
In there sat a girl in a chair facing her back to him, he sighed walked in and closed the door shut. “What’s going on?” he asked.
“You know well what’s going on father, I’ve told you many times that I do not agree with this arrange meeting or marriage, whatever you want to call it” she said without facing her father. Takahashi san sighed and walked up to his daughter, he squeezed her shoulder and patted it.
“Yuka…I’ve told you many times that this is your chance to have a better future” Yuka frowned and stood up abruptly facing her father. “I’ve told you many times that I do not care and riches! All I want is someone to love me in the future!” she shouted at her father.
“And you think that Ken will be able to provide you with the things you need? He’s a poor man!” he shouted back at her. “I don’t care if Ken is poor! All I care is that he loves me for who I am!”
SLAP.
Takahashi san had slapped Yuka across the face, “don’t make a fool out of me Yuka, I’ve arranged his meeting with Yamada san, now get your face out there to meet him” Yuka slowly faced her father. “You don’t care about me…all you care about is money and wealth” she said in an angry tone. “I do not!” he yelled at her, “don’t bull shit me, I know exactly what’s going on! You purposely became friends with Yamada san so that I can get marry with his son. And when he passes his company down to his son, you can manipulate his son to hand his business over to you!”
“What bull shit are you spewing out Yuka?” he laughed and turned around, “quit making up childish stories and come out” he then made his way to the door. “She’s your lover deshou?” Takahashi san stopped walking, “the both of you are in this plan together right?” she said again.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” he said and then left the room. Yuka fell onto the chair and covered her face in her hand. Her maid came up to her and patted her back, “Yuka sama, you shouldn’t have disobeyed your father like that” Yuka looked up to her maid with tears falling down her face.
“I don’t want this Chiaki” she said between sobs, “I know Yuka sama, I know” she pulled Yuka into a hug and patted her. “I need to see Ken…now”
“I’ll call him, for now just go out there and do what your father wants…okay?” Yuka took in a deep breath and nodded. Chiaki pulled back and wiped away Yuka’s tears, “that’s my girl, now go along and I’ll make sure to call Ken for you” Yuka nodded once more. After freshening up again, she made her way to the dinner.
The door opened to the dinner room and Yuka walked in. Takahashi san turned around and smiled; he got out of his chair and walked up to her. “Everyone, I would like you to meet my daughter and Ryosuke kun’s future wife, Takahashi Yuka”
Everyone turned around and looked at Yuka, Chinen’s jaw automatically dropped and so did Keiko. Keiko leaned into Chinen’s ear, “Yu chan…she looks just like you, she can even pass as your twin sister” Chinen kept silent and fixed his eyes on Yuka. Yuka looked around and her eyes fell on Chinen and gasped.
