Summary: Yamada tells Chinen he loves Daiki, but Daiki and Takaki are both in a relationship. Wanting an advice from Chinen, Chinen tells Yamada to love Daiki silently since he's currently in a relationship. Out of the blues, Daiki and Takaki both break up after a scandal, Yamada takes this as his chance to comfort Daiki and maybe go out with him. While that's happening, Chinen avoids and ignores Yamada every way possible, Yamada is confused and hurt, but never had the guts to ask Chinen why. An incident occurs that leads to Chinen apologizing for loving Yamada. What will happen to the four of them? Read on...
The door to Chinen’s room opened and Yamada walked in, he walked straight up to Chinen’s bed and sat down. Chinen looked away from his homework to the fidgeting boy, “what’s the matter Yama chan?” he asked while Yamada was playing with his fingers. Yamada looked up, “Chinen, I want to ask you a favor”
“Um…sure, what is it?” Yamada took in a deep breath and let it out; he closed his eyes for a while and then opened them again. “I…I…”
“Spill it out Yamada”
“I’m in love with Daiki” Chinen felt like his heart stopped, he felt like the world went upside down on, the pencil in his hand dropped on the desk. “Did…did I surprise you?” Yamada asked, Chinen blinked a few times, “uh…you…you’re in love with Daiki?” Chinen asked and Yamada nodded his head, “but…you do know well that he’s going out with Yuya…deshou?”
Yamada stood up from the bed and started to pace around behind Chinen, “I know that Chinen, but…I can’t stop my heart from pounding whenever I’m beside him, or whenever he’s in the same room with me” Yamada complained, “what should I do Chinen?”
Chinen spun his desk chair around to face Yamada, “um…I don’t know”
“What do you mean? You’ve got to help me” Yamada was at the verge of begging, “I’m sorry Yamada, but I really don’t know what to say to you. Daiki and Yuya are both going out, and…I’m sure you don’t want to ruin their relationship”
“I…I don’t want to do that”
“Exactly, so…so why don’t you just love him…silently and secretly?” Yamada stopped pacing and stood in place for awhile, “you know Chinen that might just work” he said with a smile on his face. “I’ll love Daiki secretly and silently then, thanks Chii” Yamada patted Chinen on the shoulder and left his room. Chinen sat on the chair while staring at the wall, one single tear fell down his porcelain face.
“I should have known…it was only fan service, nothing more nothing less” he told himself, he wiped away his tears and spun back around to finish his homework.
The next came by, Chinen walked into their practicing room to see Daiki and Yuya both arguing, he tried his best not to disturb the both of them and walked to his usual place. “Chinen!” Chinen stopped and turned around, “ye…yeah?” he stuttered, Daiki walked up to Chinen with the newspaper and shoved it into his face.
“Tell me, does that guy look like Yuya?” Chinen looked at the picture and then up at Yuya then back at the picture, “well…kind of”
“See! How could you do this to me Yuya? I thought you loved me!?” Daiki shouted in the room, Yuya let out a frustrated sigh and ruffled his hair. “Daiki, I…”
“You know what Yuya, we’re both through, through alright?” Yuya’s eyes widen, “no…no no no, Daiki please don’t say that” Yuya said and ran up to Daiki grabbing his arms, “please no…” Daiki pushed Yuya away from him, “get away from me, you lied to me, you told me that you were going to walk your sister home”
“But…Daik you don’t understand”
“What don’t I understand? You kissed a girl! And it’s on the front page of the dang newspaper!” Daiki shouted while pointing at the newspaper, “Yuya…I hate you” with that Daiki threw the newspaper and Yuya and stormed out of the room, he passed Yamada on the way. Yamada walked up to Chinen and placed his things down beside him, “what happened? Why were they fighting?” Yamada asked Chinen in a whisper, “They broke up”
“What?!” Yamada asked loudly, Chinen quickly placed a finger in front of Yamada’s lip, “shh not so loud, Yuya will hear you”
“Oh…sorry, but what happened?”
“Read the newspaper, it’s on the front page” Chinen told him and took off, Yamada walked out of the room and down the hall towards the newspaper stand. He grabbed one and read the front page, his eyes widen. He places the newspaper down and walked off to find Daiki, “this is my chance, my chance to show him that I love him” Yamada told himself.
While in the room, Chinen walked up to Yuya who was still sulking, “I believe you”
“Huh?” Yuya looked up, “oh…but…it doesn’t matter if you believe me Chii, the person I love the most just broke up with me and he won’t believe me” Yuya said sadly, Chinen sat down beside Yuya. “Tell me what happened?” Yuya was silent for a while and then decided to tell Chinen the story, “I did take my sister home, but she wanted me to drop her off at her friend’s house so I did. When I got there, I greeted her friend like usual, my sister told me that she was going to go ahead inside the house. I bid her farewell and was about to go on my way when her friend stopped me. She called for my name, I turned around and the next thing I knew, she pulled me into a kiss. I was shock too, I pushed her away and told her that it’s not right for her to do that, and then I took off” Yuya explained to Chinen.
Chinen sat there and nodded his head, “sou ka, well just find a right time to tell Daiki, I’m sure Daiki will understand” Yuya sighs, “yeah…lets hope so” Chinen smiled and patted Yuya on the knee. “Cheer up” Yuya looked at Chinen and smiled then nodded. “Anyways, I wanted to go get some ramen at the vending machine, want to tag along?” Yuya shook his head, “nah, I want to be alone for awhile” Chinen nodded and took off from the room.
He walked down the hallway and then stopped once he heard familiar voices, he peeked from behind the wall and saw Daiki and Yamada both sitting on the bench. “I can’t believe he did that to me Yamada…after…after…” Daiki sniffled; Yamada pulled Daiki into an embrace. Chinen’s hand flew up to his chest and grabbed his shirt, “daijobou Dai chan, did Yuya try to explain?”
“I don’t need his explanation Yamada, the picture clearly stated everything” Yamada sighed and patted Daiki’s head while Daiki cried in Yamada’s arms. Chinen stepped backwards and leaned onto the wall. He stayed there for awhile before taking off towards the vending machine.
For the whole day, Daiki and Yamada both stuck with each other, it have of course, raised a lot questions amongst the other members of Hey Say JUMP. Chinen on the other hand, stayed silent as Yamada comforted Daiki in anyways possible.
“Okay, Yamada and Chinen, please come here and stand right next to each other, Keito, Ryutaro and Yuto, please come here and”
“Sir” Chinen interrupted, “hai?”
“Can…can I stand next to Yuto?” the guy looked at Chinen, “um…sure I guess” Chinen smiled and walked away from Yamada. Yamada watches as Chinen walked up to Yuto, smiled and stood beside him, “okay, so Ryutaro, I’ll have you stand next to Yamada and Keito you’re next to Ryutaro, please scoot in and smile” the photographer told them.
“In the count of three, 1…2…3, cheese” the five boys smiled for the camera. After Seven’s photoshoot, it was time for the whole group’s photos. Chinen again requested to stand next to Yuto, the photographer not thinking of anything much allowed him. After the shoot every members took off to their practice room. Chinen walked up to his bag and pulled out his bottle of water, Yamada entered the room with Daiki.
“I think you should ask Chinen, Yamada, it seemed like he was trying to avoid you this whole day” Daiki whispered, Yamada looked at Chinen, “I’ll ask him later”
“I’ll be fine Yamada, go” Daiki pushed Yamada towards Chinen, Yamada forcefully walked up to Chinen. “Hey Chii” he greeted, “hey Yamada” Chinen greeted back without looking at him, “um….I have a question to ask”
“What’s up?”
“I…”
“Chinen ready to go?” Yuto asked, Chinen looked up at Yuto and smiled, “un, let me just grab my bag” Chinen grabbed his bag and left Yamada alone. Yamada took in a breath and looked up, Daiki was staring back at him. Yamada shrugged and grabbed his things, before Chinen walked out of the room, he stopped.
“Hold up Yuto” Chinen told Yuto, Yuto nodded as Chinen turned back around and walked up to Yuya. “Hey Yuya” Yuya looked up, “oh hey Chii”
“Yuto and I are heading to the arcade, want to go?”
“Eh? Really? Sure” Yuya grabbed his bag and took off with Chinen, both Yamada and Daiki stood there watching as the trio left the room together. Daiki grabbed his stuff and stormed out of the room angrily with Yamada running after him.
For the past few weeks, Chinen, Yuya and Yuto hung out together most of the time. Yamada and Daiki both hung out with each other, other members of the HSJ can feel the tension between Daiki and Yuya, they can start feeling tension between Daiki and Chinen. Chinen had completely avoided Yamada at every way possible. This has caused Yamada to start feeling lonely without his little squirrel following him around, smiling at him, hugging, leaning on him during their photoshoots. Chinen had also avoided sitting on Yamada’s lap, instead he’ll go and sit on either Yuya or Yuto’s lap. This made Yamada quite angry, wanting to feel the warmth of the other little boy on him. This caused him to ponder if he really loved Daiki or not, just by Chinen doing this to him made him very upset. Whenever NYC had a talk show Chinen would go sit beside Yuma instead, whenever it was just the both of them on a show or performance, Chinen always managed to stay away from Yamada at a certain inches. Lately, Yamada would get angry whenever Chinen chose to spend time with Yuya and Yuto rather than spending time with him. It didn’t help him much when all Daiki did was complained about how Yuya spent way too much time with Chinen and Yuto. Daiki complained about how he felt lonely without Yuya cuddling, embracing, and holding him within his arms. Yamada was at his verge of having enough of all these avoiding and complaints.
“That was fun, thanks Chii” Yuya said and ruffled his hair, Chinen smiled and pushed Yuya’s hand away. “My pleasure Yuyan” Chinen said and walked to his room, Daiki and Yamada were both sitting on the sofa watching tv. After watching the scene, Daiki took off to his room and so did Yuya. Yamada got up from the sofa and took off to Chinen’s room, without asking permission he walked in while Chinen was changing.
“At least knock” Chinen said while taking off his shirt, Yamada walked up to the bed and sat down, “can I help you with something?” Chinen asked while turning to face Yamada. “Yeah” Yamada answer with a cold tone of voice, more like anger, “I want you to stay away from Yuya”
Chinen was silent for awhile, “why?”
“Because…it’s hurting Daiki” Chinen flinched, he thought that Yamada would at least said that it was bugging him. “No”
“What?”
“You heard me, I said no” Chinen said again, “why should I care about how Daiki feels? Daiki should at least listen to Yuya’s explanation first before throwing a hissy fit” Yamada got up from the bed and walked up to Chinen. “Take that back Chinen” Chinen swallowed the lump in his throat, he couldn’t believe what was happening, the Yamada Ryosuke that would always back him up, protect him was now protecting Daiki.
“No, I will not take it back, Daiki deserves what happened to him. Yuya is now happy, he has let go of the hurt that Daiki had caused him”
“And you think that Daiki isn’t hurting? It hurts him whenever he sees you beside Yuya”
“That’s his problem then, if he has a problem with me being next to Yuya then he should of brought it up to me instead of you. Hiding behind someone’s back ain’t going to help” Chinen spat out at Yamada, without thinking twice Yamada rose up his hand and slapped Chinen across the face hard.
Realizing what he just did, “Chinen…” Yamada said, Chinen looked at Yamada with tears in his eyes, “get out of my room”
“Chinen…I’’
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FUCKING ROOM BASTARD!” Chinen shouted at Yamada and pushed him out, “stay the fuck out and don’t fucking come in, I fucking hate you” Chinen slammed the door in Yamada’s face, he fell to his knees and cried.
