crazy 7-mile canoe trip today...
the ride up to omer,mi took about an hour which wasnt too bad. then we on a crazy bumpy bus ride to the place where we were gonna start canoing.
since there were only 2 to a canoe me and afroze decided to be partners. i sat in the back and was the steerer and afroze sat in the front and was the rower.
n e ways it was going so good for awhile then mariams dad and whoever he was with couldnt stop in time and ended up colliding with us. and we tipped over. our canoe was filled with water so we had to get that out, with a little assistance of course.
then we were doing fine again and then we saw sagal, fadumo, and my dad tip over and they needed help. so me and afroze stopped to help and so did these other guys. the guys ended up falling in the water. it was funny. then once my dad and sisters had everything under control me and afroze got back in our canoe. well i got in first and sat down then afroze tried to get in but we ended up tipping over again. we got help again.
so were thinking nothing else can go wrong and were fine then sarah and fatima tip over so we were planning to go over and help them out because they lost one of their oars. it was funny. but we couldnt stop and we were going too fast so we collided with their already overturned canoe and ended up tipping over again. i found afrozes phone floating in the river (it died eventually), and her pop somehow floated down the river. sarah lost her camera completely.
we got lots of help since both canoes were filled with water. once that was taken care of we added sarah to our canoe since fatima decided to go with her dad. so now it was me, sarah and afroze. for about the fourth time in the trip we were going smoothly again and just talking and stuff and then we hit a tree and tip over again. it was deeper and afroze was too short and sarah couldnt swim. so i had to swim and catch our canoe which was floating away while afroze and sarah tried to get out. i think that was the last time we tipped over. lol!
once we got everything back to normal we kept going. while we were canoing we found afrozes pop floating in the river and we picked it up. it was too funny.
so by the time we were done with the 7-mile canoe trip me afroze and sarah were soaking wet. but it was so much fun. i was cracking up so bad. we changed ate and went back home. it was great. and now im tired.
