Hey look, a meme. It's become tradition for me to write it and no-one else to read it :p

1. What did you do in 2G10 that you'd never done before?

Went to another country totally alone. Got out of a relationship before it got destructive. Saw Muse live. Dyed my hair orange :o

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I fail at doing them :[

3. did anyone close to you give birth?

Not that I'm aware of.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Upset about Dai, though I haven't really had any contact from ye olde Wales way for a long time (mostly my fault)

5. What countries did you visit?

England, Holland, Italy, France, Ireland.

6. What would you like to have in 2G11 that you lacked in 2G10?

Less of a waistline, more of some kind of company that's not just me, more of a holiday.

7. What date from 2G10 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Hum, September was pretty cool.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Going to Italy alone. Might not seem like a big deal to most people, but christ I need to quit being such a lameface and stop worrying about stuff.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Failing with John.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Migraines for the most part, nothing serious.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Camera for John, too much Dexter for me.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

People at work, mostly, for accepting that I'm an anti social lump until you get to know me.

13. Whose behaviour made you depressed?

I don't really agree with Nick anymore. Also my Dad.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Rent. XBox. Itunes, damnit.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Italy, going to see Muse.

16. What song will always remind you of 2G10?

Map of the Problematique by Muse. One of my favourite songs, and seeing it performed live will be etched in my head for some time.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?

Sadder? I dunno. I hate this time of year, honestly, so my level of sad isn't really relative.

i. thinner or fatter?

Fatter. I bought an exercise bike but actually using the fucking thing without being bored to tears is proving difficult.

ii. richer or poorer?

Probably richer. I continue to live within my means and have been earning more than I've ever earnt in my life.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Exercise. Talking to people instead of thinking that they'd rather I disappear. Actual science.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Worrying, mostly. Also pretending like I'm invisible and wishing that I had friends :[

20. How will you be spending/did you spend Christmas?

Going to my mum's. Will be pretty cool; my whole family will be there for the first time in a couple of years, so it should be quite nice.

22. Did you fall in love in 2G10?

Does the guy from the bus who I've never spoken to count?

23. How many one night stands?

0

24. What was your favourite TV programme?

Dr Who impressed me despite there being no David Tennant. Also Dexter is amazing.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

Hate is pretty ridiculous.

26. What was the best book you read?

I reread 1984. Amazing book.

27. What was the best videogame you played?

Most people won't agree with me, but Splinter Cell: Conviction had me dancing about quite gleefully. I heart Splinter Cell, and while this game is a real departure from the others, gameplay-wise, I really, really, really enjoyed it. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was similarly amazing; just tweaked enough to fix the stuff that was wrong with AC:2 (which was also pretty damn good) I should probably also mention Cataclysm here, as it's a lot more fun than it should be.

28. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Don't know if I really discovered anything new this year. That's a really depressing thought. I did start using Spotify, which sort of counts.

29. What did you want and get?

Stable job, holiday, chance to touch something that's nearly 2000 years old.

30. What did you want and not get?

Stable relationship, friends, a mortgage.

31. What was your favourite film of this year?

Hhm. Scott Pilgrim was pretty amazing, as was Inception. I've seen more films than those, but they stick out.

32. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I was 28 (ugh) - went Christmas shopping for half a day, spent the other day unbelievably unhappy due to introspection and no-one to talk to.

33. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Hm. Being able to talk to bus guy. That would be pretty awesome. Being able to talk in general. I've locked up a lot more this year.

34. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2G1?

Jeans + threadless shirts + fingerless gloves. I have branched out into boots and girlish jumpers though.

35. What kept you sane?

Ugh, gaming, probably.

36. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

The usual suspects.

37. What political issue stirred you the most?

Oh Nick, you lying tosser.

38. Who did you miss?

A lot of people. I'm feeling remarkably lonely these days, through my own making, I know. I need a damn life.

39. Who was the best new person you met?

Ger, maybe. Though I haven't technically met him.

40. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2G10.

Don't believe that you can endure alone. You really do need people.

41. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

You make us want to die, I'd cut your name in my heart, We'll destroy this world for you, I know you want me to, feel your pain. (Bonus points for knowing the song)
