We have seen RED, which is freaking hilarious, Life As We Know It, which was cute & fun & slightly sad, Legends of the Guardians: the Owls of Ga'hoole, which was good, and finally saw The Blind Side (on HBO) and liked it.
Now for the books...
Some Like It Lethal by Nancy Martin; entertaining, but not addictive.
Carolyn Haines; must read in order (not listed in order here!) and fun...although sometimes I want to thwap Jitty-the-ghost:
Ham Bones
Wishbones
Bones to Pick
Buried Bones
Greedy Bones
Crossed Bones
Splintered Bones
I wouldn't pick up either of those authors in hardcover or new, but finding them at used book stores is fun.
Douglas Preston: Tyrannosaur Canyon and The Codex
I picked up Canyon first at a used book store and enjoyed it, so I went looking for another of Preston's books with the same character(s). Codex comes before Canyon, so I read it knowing that the characters I "cared about" would survive. I am not sure I'd like his other work, based on descriptions I've read at Fantastic Fiction, but I might look up more of the books if they include Tom Broadbent, one of the "leads" in these two books.
Heat Wave by "Richard Castle"
ROFLMAO! This is hysterical - ABC is actually publishing "Castle's" books! Naked Heat will be the next to be released. Heat Wave is a fun read, and totally matches up with the characters/themes of the TV series. Ha!
And...I'm in the process of reading Star Island by Carl Hiaasen, which is fun and another installment in his crazy "series" of Florida insanities. HA!
