*Marco's really not feeling well, but he's managed to pull up an emotionless mask, mostly as a defense mechanism. He snubs his cigarette out and nods to Jak. They hadn't actually met in person, had they? But the voice was easy enough to recognize*
Jak. If you'd lead me to the door we can mark it off.

*Its one of the few that Marco employes with any regularity.*
I'd rather expect it to, but its worth a try.
*If it wasn't in the same place as he'd found it, Marco would just accept that and move on. If it was...he had a sharpie but would probably ask at least one other person to confirm it.*
[Jak steps out onto the deck, shifting with the gravity change as he wanders along, brushing his fingers along the walls, trying to remember which doors were fake and which were real.]

Yeah, I know.
*Marco'd been on the deck for a little over an hour now. He'd gotten used to the shifts, down to having timed them, so has no trouble when it happens. He just follows after Jak, otherwise silent.*
[Pausing midway down the hall, Jak frowns and runs his hand over a painted door. He pats the wall and knocks on it, then turns to Marco, gesturing at it.]
[Jak doesn't waste time, and he pulls open the stairwell door to deck sixteen a few minutes later.]
Marco.

I can show you, but it might move around. It seems a little too easy to keep it in one spot.

This was real last time.

Of course. Thanks anyway. Sorry to drag you all the way down here for nothing.

So the rooms move around. We've got no idea how many there are, or what's behind them all.
And Redd's just up there laughing.

*Marco sighs again and runs a hand through his hair. He'll be angry himself later on, anyway.*

He's laughing anyway.

*He shakes his head and starts back towards the stairs*
We can just write all of deck 16 off as dangerous. I didn't find anything interesting or important here anyway.

We didn't even check any doors, who said there's nothing important here?
Reply
I already did that. But I won't stop you from checking yourself if you want.

Whatever. He turns his back to Marcus and heads for the elevator at the opposite end of the deck.]
