*Since things were still calm and digging through the network wasn't getting anything useful, Marco forced himself to think of something other than what had happened the other night. There had been something he wanted to do before getting distracted by all that, and now that he wasn't feeling as exhausted as he did after he returned from the dead ( Read more... )

[Anna wasn't in her room for once, instead, he'll find her coming down the hall and happening upon him as he knocks on her door. She'd been training with Erik again, and when she speaks her voice is a little hoarse. She needed some more water.]

...Marco? Is everything alright?

*Ah, well, that made things easier. If she hadn't come by, he'd have started checking around the ship and then eventually called her over the comms. But this was much easier.
Marco turns to face her, giving her a smile and pulling a small, white box out of his pocket.*

I, uh, I got you something.

*He holds it out to her, somewhat awkwardly. Its been awhile since Marco gave anyone a gift, let alone someone he wasn't related to. Inside the box is a bracelet.*

[She looks at him curiously as she comes up by him, smiling hesitantly but looking confused.]

You...did? It...is not my birthday, or anything.

[But she'll still take the box, cheeks flushed as she opens it.]

This...it is beautiful, Marco.

I just wanted to do something for you.

*Largely because she'd been with him when he was 'sick' and he still felt bad, but very grateful, about that. He wasn't sure if she was doing well lately, anyway...Remy had suggested, earlier, that he set up a dinner on the top deck for her, but Marco wasn't sure that was the best of ideas with the missing stars. A gift seemed like a good subsitute.
He smiles.*

I search through the luggage on deck twelve for awhile until I found it. I'm glad you like it.
