I was leisurely listening to this song, and the numbers "36-25-34" kind of whacked me upside the head. Of course, these are the measurements given by Mr. Haynes in the song of the fine lady he could not ignore. HOWEVER, although not exact, mathematical analysis has confirmed some suspicions of mine.
The number phi (1.6180339 = phi), the so-called "golden ratio," manifests itself in nature in many many locations. I remember once hearing that the "perfect bodily construction" would be the measurements of the hips divided by the waist(36/25) and the female bosom divided by the waist (34/25), which would be roughly equal to the same "golden" number, phi.
36/25 = 1.44
34/25 = 1.36
phi = 1.61 (rounded off)
I don't know how significant two-tenths and three-tenths of a point are, but given Nelly's more than likely lack of mathematical knowledge, I say this is neat!
And, yes, people and anon commenting assholes, I do have a life. Fuck off.
