ANNOUNCEMENT: art supplies
(because many of my flisters are artists, painters, and illustrators)
My dad and sister cleaned out my mother's art supplies while I was down there this weekend, and rather than throw it all out, I brought it home with me. However, unless I suddenly start taking classes, I'm not going to be able to put them to good use. Mother was a landscape artist, primarily working in oils; I will be posting some of her work here periodically now that I'm beginning to catalog it photographically. She not only left an easel and paints, she left books and magazines, blank canvasses, brushes, and other assorted art paraphernalia.
I think Mom would love to know that another artist is using her tools to make more art. To that end, I would like to see this go to a good home, or to homes, to people who a) could really use some art supplies and b) will put it to good use. Not necesarily professional use; just someone who will make art they like with it. So, anyone who might be interested in some of this, when I get it all catalogued, I would be happy to get it to you.
As far as price goes, I'm not looking to sell it per se; I would be happy if you would just pay the postage it would cost me to ship it to you. But anyone on my flist who might be potentially interested in some things, just let me know. I should have a list down by the end of the week what I've got. And if you have anything you're particularly looking for, ask and I'll see if I've got one. I so don't want to do a garage sale or slog it on ebay. I would prefer this all go to people who will get the most out of it.
