new defense for plagiarism: "mixing"

Original article here:

German teen writes book made of other people's work, calls it  "mixing"

the apparently former agent has the best observation:

In the beginning, her agent, Petra Eggers, said that the critics could not distinguish between the novel’s 16-year-old protagonist and the author. “It’s the other way around now, there’s nothing left,” Ms. Eggers said. “They say that none of these are her own words even.”

Here's my question: if the work reflects the artist, and there is nothing of the artist's in the work... does that mean the artist is empty?

even funnier: this is the same thing that idiot Marienbadmylove was doing on Nano, building a work out of sampling other works and no words of his own. So even Fraulein Mixer's idea is not original! XD

note to self: see if we can have National Slap Day made an international event. If it is, I'm going to Berlin...

plagiarism, people who suck
