my neighbor, update
Well we tried to see him twice last weekend but ran into either lack of visiting hours (non relatives) the first time and "oh we just took him down for more testing" the second time. L managed to get in to see him after work today. She says he's in one of those "halo" things, which if I understand right is basically a thing they screw into your head (!) to keep your neck steady. Holy crap. I can't even. She said he was also not awake when she was there but the nurses said he's pretty lucid usually but he just came back from physical therapy so he was kind of wiped out. (I can't imagine having that thing on your head is all that light either)
We're going to go see him again Saturday. I've been concerned about his apartment and his stuff; it looks like someone was there because his blinds are now a little open; hopefully I can catch the person next time and see if they have any info on who is helping him out right now. Because we still have his briefcase and stuff. And whoever's taking care of his bills and stuff right now will probably need what's in there eventually.
More later. But hearing that he's lucid and that he's in PT are two VERY good things I wanted to hear. So, a little relief.
