Be in harmony with yourself~
My thoughts on Judith Wright:
This week its back to poetry with a touch of drama...
Anyway about Judith Wright
<----This is her, what are your thoughts about her?
I personally LOVE her poetry maybe it's because her ideas are so modern and are carved beautifully through her life experiences. She has learnt so much from these experiences and her views on the world and society are just...I dunno like she says "wordless".
I love her idea how "words can be wordless" and that "wisdom lies outside the word". There is so much beauty and nature around us that we can't EVER possibly explain everything, our feeling, emotions, and thoughts. Maybe some things are BEST kept unread, unwritten, unexplained.
While looking at her poem Gum-trees stripping I couldn't help but relate her idea with Annabelle (shakes head for still thinking about JTTSC).
It was wonderful how Annabelle DID find herself in the Journey to the stone country. Although the book may seem to not have a "proper" ending but in a way it sort of has because Annabelle has found herself and has accepted that it's ok not to know everything-therefore not going to the stone country in the end.
Same goes with Wright's poem. Maybe it's best not to try to explain the gum trees shedding because IT JUST DOES! Leave it alone. Humans are so egotistic that we HAVE TO explain everything- through science and there must be a reason. Why not just sit back relax and look at nature AS IT IS.
The tree honestly wouldn't give a dam if we wrote a poem or not about it, it would just keep on living and shedding its bark as it always does.
So now this week I will try to relax and forget about all the trouble of readings and assignments and go sit outside my backyard, close my eyes and just accept what is happening now~ you should all do too! ^^
So until next week, happy reading
JUST RELAX! :D
