haha! well after reading nicki and tarra's bulletins about their wonderful night, i just had to revel in my wonderful night as well. no, i didn't meet the rasmus, and i may not have known too many people, but i went to a "girls night in" for chi delts! it was amazing! it was at an alum's house...the CHI class! OMFG!!! chi class people...that's 98! hella old school alum! jen davies has always been the oldest alum we knew, and just being able to hang out with women from phi class, chi class, omega class, it was truly something to be grateful for, and i'm definately sad i didn't get to stay longer, and get to hear more stories. i knew jen davies, she was there, and nebrissa, but i've only met her once. still awesome. yes, i was the only active member there! i was nervous, and unsure of myself, but i was happy for the opportunity to meet and talk with the girls. i really likes sara (it was at her house), lindsey (we met her at el torito with sara back in april), and anne (who sadly does not have a myspace). maybe i didn't have a lot in common, they're all married, and most have children! but telling them about my pledge process, and hearing similarites was an honor. and i'm sorry more girls didn't go because it could've been an opportunity to learn more about the sorority back in the day. wow...i swear, they're like celebrities to us. i remember when we all took pictures with sara and lindsey at el torrito. haha! we were just in awe! and to be surrounded by them was just...there aren't even words. not even alpha iota knew these girls! wow! just...WOW! it would've been nice had steph been able to come, but thinking back on the night, it was delightful, helpful, uplifting. it's amazing to see pledge sisters still talking with one another. still there for each other. bonds that haven't been broken. strength between pledge classes. and seeing what the future could hold. now if there's any way to meet the founding sisters! that would truly be the icing on the cake. something i one day wish for. the honor to meet a founding sister. to be able to talk to one. to know one. i don't know what i would say! yeay!
