College life...

I've been such a bad journal keeper lately. I feel like there is always someone standing over my shoulder though, watching what I type. It's kind of getting on my nerves, this whole lack of privacy thing. I'm used to having my own little space (my room) to hide in, but here I don't have that since there is always someone else in it. I suppose it's something that I'm getting used to though. I like my roommate though, we get along just fine. We don't fight because we're both pretty easy going. So that's always good.

I've met a lot of new people here. Strangely though, I haven't really made many friends who are girls. It's been more guys. This is a change for me because back home I hardly had any guy friends, only girls. Everyone here is so nice though. It's kind of weird how nice they are! haha! Brooke, my suitemate, lost her JAC card and the person who found it actually e-mailed her and told her that she turned it into JAC card services. I mean seriously, who is that nice to do that? Wow!

Classes have been interesting. I realized, very quickly, that I need to study tons more for college then I did for high school. High school is seriously a frolic in the park, college is tough shit! I studied my ass off though for my Critical Thinking test and I got a 103! It was my first college A, and I was so proud. The other tests I've had, yeah, not so good! Bah!

Everyone is either at home or out tonight. Let's see. Chris went home, Molly is out, Aly B went home, Katie is out, and my roomies all went out. Jacob is probably out and Kip, well I don't think he wants to talk to me, and I can't say I blame him. It's Family Weekend too, so my sister is coming to visit tomorrow. I decided to stay in tonight and have a night to myself (if that is even possible here). I'll probably catch up on some work and watch a movie or something. I'm not feeling that great tonight anyways, I think there's a virus going around campus or something. Or maybe it was damn D-Hall. Who knows.

I'm getting homesick again too. I really just want to go back to Forest right now and hang out at home. I miss my friends back there. And I miss Megan in Illinois. :( I need my best friends back! I'm really excited for Thanksgiving Break, already. Fall Break is coming up soon, I'm going home (probably with Molly) on the 20th, and then it's a 3 day weekend. I'm excited to go home. As weird as it seems, I miss Lynchburg! I didn't even think that was possible!

My parents are in Turkey right now. How random, right? Yes. It's a business trip turned vacation. I'm sure it's a new experience though. We've never been there. I talked to them when they were in the airport, I think they were excited.

I saw Howie Day on Wednesday. I thought he was pretty good. I think he got mixed reactions. Some people thought that he was lipsynching because he was playing by himself without his band and he was using the pedals to record himself and then play it back. Molly called me in the middle of the concert and was freaking out because she thought he was lipsynching. But he wasn't. Weird ticket story involving the Howie Day concert. I don't really feel like explaining it in detail, but somehow I got separated from everyone else who I bought tickets with and got put in a random seat which ended up being right next to Chris. Honestly, one of the weirdest things ever.

So I'm sick of updating now. I think this is long enough anyways. I feel like I have so much more to say though. Oh well, maybe some other time.
