2009 Holiday Song Challenge.

Since December and the Holidays are just around the corner I thought maybe it would be fun to issue a Holiday Challenge open to anyone who would like to participate.

The Challenge:

1.) Pick any Christmas/Holiday Song. It doesn’t have to be one of Nsync’s but you are welcome to use them if you would like.

2.) Listen to the lyrics of the song closely.

3.) Write a story relating to the lyrics in the song you have chosen.

The Rules:

1.) You can incorporate the song into the story line or have it basically over laying the action within your story but it must related to what is happening!

2.) Your story can be of any genre you like and may include any or all of the boys as you wish so long as it does have at least one of the boys. All types of writing are welcome!

3.) The Story must be at least 500-700 words long not including the lyrics to the song if you choose to have it written separate to what it going on in the story. If you go over that we won’t complain!

a. For example if the boys are writing the story and you have them talking about the lyrics then that can be included in the word count.

b. If you have a plot line going that is related to the story and setting a general feel but they are not actually discussing it or singing it in anyway then they cannot be included in the word count.

4.) You do not have to be a member of live journal to participate. Send me an email stating your intentions to participate in this challenge and then send me your completed story and I will be happy to post it on your behalf!

5.) Stories will start to go live on December 24th, 2009 and are due no later than Midnight (12pm EST) on December 31st. Please do not post the stories prior to this time. When posting your story please add the tag "2009 Holiday Song Challenge"

6.) All stories will be posted on the livejournal community Nsyncfanfiction and linked off of my website Nsync Based Fanfiction.

If you intend to participate please send me a quick email at maplebeanie@gmail.com so I know how many people to expect stories from. If you have any questions let me know otherwise have fun and happy writing!
