CONGRATULATIONS, *NSYNC FANDOM!
We have achieved our fundraising goal, which enables us to put a full-page, full-color ad in Billboard to commemorate 10 years of *NSYNC. You donated big and you donated little, and it all added up to a tremendous success for this project. We did it! We really did it! Thank you so much! Every single contribution helped, and it couldn't have been accomplished without everyone's support. You all rock!!
But it's not quite over yet. We're about three weeks away from submitting the ad to Billboard, and we have yet to finalize the picture choice. The creative team will have something to present to the community in a few days, but we have something to open for discussion right now.
The design of the ad allows for a "then" picture and a "now" picture. The creative team is deliberating on which of the submitted pictures to present to the community and open to voting for inclusion in the ad. However, we're rather limited in terms of fan-taken "now" pictures. We've got a poor quality one from this year's CFTC meet-and-greet and two from last year's CFTC press conference.
The group picture from this year's CFTC is available for license from WireImage. It costs $800 to license, but it's a great picture, and it's the most recent group picture there is.
Here's the picture in question. We've currently got about $400 in excess of our original goal, and I know at least two people who have promised to donate $50 specifically for the picture, so we're really only $300 away from that $800 we would need. Plus I'm sure several people have mailed in donations that are in transit, so we may be even closer than that. So what do you think?
