my trip to NSU...
I went up to NSU Wednesday night for my freshman connection. It was alright. The trip up there was a nightmare... My dad got a $108 ticket for speeding, I was on the phone when my parents turned up the radio so loud that I couldn't hear anything and when i said something about it, they took my phone away for the night. When we got to the hotel, I took a shower, and the curtain on had one part and I didn't realize that it wasn't in the tub so my clothes got all wet and stuff... Then when I got out, everyone else was already in bed. And it was only 9:30 pm. I set my alarm clock to wake me up at 7 am since I didn't have to be at NSU until 8. And then I layed there in bed all night cuz I couldn't sleep. I ended up not sleeping at all... Then we "woke up" yesterday morning and my mom brought me to NSU to sign in and stuff and put my stuff in my dorm room. The girl I roomed with this week is also gonna be my roommate when school starts. She's really nice but she smokes so I think I'll be ok as long as she doesn't smoke around me... But anywho... we went to this assembly thing and then we split off into color groups where we played ice breaker games to let everyone get to know each other. I was in a group with all the CAPA students and there were actually 11 music ed people there so there's no tellin how many people we're gonna have in band this coming year. But then when all the actual required stuff was over, I called Mike and Phillip and they came to pick me up and I stayed the night at Mike's house with Mike, Phillip, Julie, Thomas, Steve, and Chad. Chad was at Mike's house recording the last of the vocal tracks for their band's demo. It's an awesome demo too. I haven't actually met Mitch or Kerry yet but I think I will when school starts. And omg... Phillip is amazing... There's just no way to describe it at all... That whole group of people is who is gonna make my experience at NSU the best it can be. Since I will be in band with all of them except for Phillip, cuz he's going back to Texas, and Thomas cuz he's only 7 years old, and Julie cuz she's doing an internship for her major since she's almost done. So let's just say I'm a little bit excited about everything! Well, the past couple of days have been awesome but I'm back home now and I have some stuff I need to do. So I'll write again later...
