Chris and I went and saw NSU's production of "Litte Shop of Horrors" tonight. For those of you who have seen / are familiar with the musical, the guy who plays the barber is FLAMING. Well, the blocking is that he jumps off of the stage at the Shawnee Street Theatre and lands right in front of the audience, and kind of does a little seductive dance for the person in this one particular chair. Well, tonight that was me. And since Brand and Jill both knew I was the one in the "hot seat," they gave Blaine full reign to ... ahem ... "have fun." So he did. He practically gave me a lapdance in front of the entire audience -- and did I mention the house was packed? Yeah. I felt violated!! "I've been violated!!!!" -- Ana, remember Eastern? ::giggles:: Good times ....
The show was great ... I'd never seen nor read the musical, so it was all new to me. The acting was great, and I was shocked at the voices coming out of some of my friends. It was cool. And it was Chris's first show, and he thouroughly enjoyed himself. I think we've just made a theatre fan of him ... ::cheers:: Welcome to the club, Baby!!
