I forgot about this thing. Not that too many things in my life have been worth repeating in a journal...but still, it's not fair of me to just abandon the journal, seeing as how I don't pay for my account, and I shouldn't take up space (or a user name) and not use it. So, let me think...
Today, I saw Alex. That was fun. Lauren found this TV station that shows only old Nickelodeon sports shows like GUTS and Legend of the Hidden Temple and stuff like that. We (me, Lauren, Alex, and sometimes my Mom) sat and watched that channel for a few hours, just reminiscing on all the good shows and how most of the crap on kids TV now is just crap. I mean, think about it: the shows that used to be on used lots of brain power to watch. It was about strength, agility, and mental quickness. You learned new facts and it made you feel really cool when you figured out the puzzles before the players did. Those are the shows I hope they bring back because if this channel goes off the air, I'm recording as much of the final days as I can and making sure that my kids watch them instead of the lain-brain stuff they are being fed now-a-days.
I'm babysitting again this summer, which is nice. I am still getting $50 a day, 2 days a week = $100 weekly. See, the first $400 I get are going to my vacation this year. I decided that this year, I was going to pay for my own vacation. I am 21...and my mom has paid for all my vacations my entire life. I know I can get the money and dawggone it, IT'S THE LEAST I COULD DO! We are doing Myrtle Beach again this year, which is exciting because going in early September is honestly the best time. There are only young couples with 2-4 year old children there...so no one to impress. There is less traffic and tons more spots to pick out to ensure great sun-age. (Hopefull, I will be a nice mohagony color by the time vacation comes around, since I spend most Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons by the pool at the Giesel's.) [P.S. Did you know that Pauly Shore is supposed to have a new show on TBS in a few weeks? I dont know if he's going to be the Pauly Shore that we all love and adore, but man, the guy is classic and I'm watching this show!] Moving on, Myrtle Beach is going to be a sweet time, knowing that it was MY money that is paying MY way, and that my Mom has a little bit of a weight lifted off of her. I am already at $200, at the end of today and in just 2 more weeks, I will have hotel, attractions, big dinners, and most spending money all ready to be used. EXCITING! And I know you're now asking yourself, "Well, Sonja, there are 2 more months left in the summer...and you still have to babysit. What on earth are you going to do with all that other money?" Well, my friend...thanks for asking. I have decided that I'm going to buy an IPOD mini (I like PINK!) and hopefully a digital camera...or a new cell phone with a camera in it. In the end: CAMERA. But we'll get to those things when the time is right...when the money is in my hand. Good times...
Well, this was productive. And now its 12:41 am and I need to get some sleep. Oh fun. P.S.: If anyone cares, Jason and I are fine. Going strong and that is awesome. Things are good in this world right now.
P.S. Alex, "I was Valedictorian of my 8th grade class" and "I know that Jilly is Holly's sister that got the short end of the stick". We've got to do that more often.
