Geez I hope it's not this hot in Baltimore next weekend...I think I'll melt before we even get to the BCC. Signs point to unlikely for that to come true. Looking forward to staffing Otakon yet again...Mike has finally thought ahead too and ordered some mac pro equip, a playbackpro key for me to have onsight in case of any insane requests from various Japanese guests/American guests/Staffer types. I've got some transcribing responsibilities as well...which aren't too big a deal. The liason for Sony Music Japan and the video productions company both have my personal cell for emergencies and last year myself and Ian had to cobble and save a premiere with our dinky laptop units and half the equip we needed to do the job. Let's hope that's not the case this year but even if it does happen...that's most of the fun. And with actual equipment it shouldn't be as much of a "AHHH what do you want us to do?!? in what time with what equipment?
Also we'll see how the masq goes this year. Changing up some of my staffers positions and adding a new person to the mix. everyone's capable...just a matter of getting ourselves in the right rhythm.
PISSED though because the ONE thing I would have liked to see (the Shinkai premiere) is smack dab in prime time on Saturday morning...when I'm going to be running rehearsal.
I suppose I should be grateful I don't live in the midwest where it climbed well over the 115 mark in many places.
