Fatwa? more like fat chance

Battle of the bands time again.. which was a bit fraught because the train was late, and as i ploughed up past Haymarket a lost chinese student needed directions to somewhere so i dragged her with me... turning up  half an hour late thankfully hutchy was set up and ready to do his thing.

well get the interesting stuff out of the way first a truly astounding instrumental band called Calcius Repton won the night by 2 votes the runners up where as good, the Hostage rescue team and where unlucky.

anyway following on from some soul searching caused by a protracted discussion online and my apparent singling out of the mighty djays of legends, a rock Fatwa ensued but thankfully those in the dwindling alternative scene are too lack-lustre lazy and get the fear if they strayed too far from Trillians (but the academy is too far away they cry!).. i decided to build bridges and also to give my self the excuse that i am paid to fill dance floors, i wouldn't play half the music if it was my choice and that i would sooner be doon on the dance floor enjoying myself than up on my ivory podium churning out dirge after dirge,

without further a do the play list

Metallica - enter sandman,
rammstien - du hast,
linkin park - crawlin,
Nirvana - teen spirit,
Iron maiden - run to the hills,
slipknot - duality,

bon Jovi - livin on a prayer,
Aerosmith - walk this way,
pantera -Walk ,
Faith no more - epic,
AC/DC - Highway to hell,
Motley Crue - Girls girls girls,
The Prodigy - Firestarter

i would let it be known that it is extremely tiring and demanding playing music and drinking, infact it's that bad by the end of a draining night i can barely  nail myself back onto my cross, i wish the ungrateful punters who come into the place for free, are given all their drinks for free, bang my mum over the couch with my dad watching and once spent wipe their cocks on my best drapes would realise that. I am a christ like figure dying for their musical sins.. a musical martyr

yeah right, people go to battle of the bands to hear new music..well newish in my case becuase i'm old and out of tocuh with the skin youth of today
