Had another gathering yesterday, this time with the
LensaManual.net forum again. Location is in Kota Tua this time, Kantin Mega Rasa. The topic in forum mentioned 10:00, but I arrived at about 10:10, had a drink, and still nobody is around.
The red building nearby is opened though. Probably a community rented the place but public can also get inside. Most of the time, this building is locked by the owner and only opened for paid photo session or video shooting. It’s an old building with four chambers, but the most interesting one is of course the middle one, a picture of urban decay. The roof has fallen down and there’s huge tree inside.
Apparently it’s the
Indonesian Olympus user group. They’re having group hunting. The place is quite packed, I kind of regretted not bringing my kit lens for the 28mm field of view.
More comment about the group in my other blog.
The gathering this time is fun! Well, I’m never a model fan.
The place is easy to recognize. Just look on the table for spread of old metal lenses. Exchanged and tried each other’s lenses. Found several that I like and might try to look for it sometime. But because I’ve just laid waste to my account buying a zoom… must be less than 1M.
Anyway, the exchange part is the most fun. Passerby would most likely got shot repeatedly with long lenses. *grins*
Ten peoples in total, but only six continued to Sunda Kelapa and take pictures. The interesting parts is after sun is down though. Slow shutter plays all the way.
Looking forward for the next gathering.
