Jen Corace

There's one artist I keep going back to when looking for illustrations of children. Jen Corace manages to capture the fleeting sense of childhood that we see in old pictures and vintage toys. It's in her colors, in her relatable characters, in her storytelling. There's an amazingly talented girl in my class, Lihi, who does something similar, only ( Read more... )

Gorgeous, gorgeous entry :)

Have been on your Etsy for the past half hour (lovely top, by the way :D). Look forward to seeing it progress during this next year.

Such an inspirational post as well. I've been so down about all things aesthetic lately on account of my degree but it has been just lovely spending this time along your train of thought.

Hey- our one year anniversary will be coming up soon(ish) :D over a year since Dragaer and the Corsairs were overthrown :D xXx

NO WAY! It's like when you told me the story's been written over course of 4 years. Just unreal. A YEAR?! Really?!
We should celebrate! (what's the date?)

------------------------------

Half an hour on my journal? Did I write in code? Because I can't be that fascinating. But thank you! Yes, prose does slip through occasionally. Something I ate.
In seriousness, that theme is something I love to look for in my favorite art. I love images that dangle between charming and awkward, scary and beautiful, because by swinging between they articulate so much more.

Have you seen the prices Jen's work goes for? There were only a handful left of that series, and if I had $250 I'd buy one. Or at least $40 for the print. I dream some day I'll go for these prices. Ha!

Good night, good morning, N.

PS: what top?

You forgot out anniversary?!?!? I did too- but here we are... SO young, so innocent:
templa_otmena: Have you been reading Lamiel's 'This Present Darkness'? xXx
ns_tulkas: Have I? I ADORE that story!
:D love you, my dear xXx

I am sorry to break this to you, but I do stalk and worship you from time-to-time. If it makes you uncomfortable, well- I'm not going to stop because then I wouldn't be a very good stalker, now would I? :) Your entry led me to all kindsa lovely links, not least of all your Etsy page. Speaking of which I thought that that might have been you with the b&w stripy top.

...Thus sprung a beautiful friendship. Who knew a random comment could achieve so much? Dec. 1st was the day, just in time for Christmas:)

Oh no, I welcome your worship. Good practice for when people will mob me and sell my discarded lollypop on ebay (yeah, Orlando, insect lollypop never tasted so good!)

That was me in that stripy mini dress. Can't hide from my stalker!

I have a theory that Healing Pt 2 won't be the next chapter. Delicious suspense, darling! Next chapter will be about the repercussions of Healing Pt 1, is my guess. A la Arwen: What did you do?
