There's one artist I keep going back to when looking for illustrations of children.
Jen Corace manages to capture the fleeting sense of childhood that we see in old pictures and vintage toys. It's in her colors, in her relatable characters, in her storytelling. There's an amazingly talented girl in my class,
Lihi, who does something similar, only her girls acutely remind you why you're glad you're no longer a child having to deal with all the awkwardness and insecurities of a child, at the same time you want to embrace them. And I just realized why I love
Little Miss Sunshine so much. Back to Jen: she does the same thing, but less harshly, enough that you can see it either way. I love ambiguous illustrations, they touch the tender feelings that we keep hidden.

My glasses broke last week. So I'm a bit blind these days, and will be until after the holidays. In other news, I'm addicted to pez, I finished my seminar paper (go Ginevra! Go!) and started wearing makeup semi-regularly (Loreal, I bow before your greatness).
Nothing much more to say on this front.
But here there's more! And here's a preview of major news coming October. Shhh...
