I've got a sale! Not two minutes after I listed the hand-drawn envelope set it sold! I've since listed a new set.

Those are really pretty envelopes. I do think you won't lack for money as an artist.

As far as your eyes go . . . sometimes it takes eyes a little bit of time to adjust to a new prescription, and your vision can do funky things while your eyes are adjusting. Give it a week or so, and if it doesn't clear up, call the eye doctor back.

Thanks for the advice, Pony. My eyesight is still blurry, and I think it has more to do with my lack of sleep than anything. I think. Like right now it's 5:20 AM and I'm up and emailing you cause I just. can't. sleep. I'm going to go buy sleeping pills when I get the chance, this is getting frustrating.

Funny you should say that about not lucking money. One of my illustration teachers gave us this really scary talk about the future, how the illustration market is here and in the rest of the world. Basically, illustration needs to be a side gig, because even if you get a job (and he said the first two years are the roughest, the third is when if you're good you get work, and after that it's down hill again) it doesn't pay a month's rent. Deeeepressing.

Hand-drawn envelopes, that's a neat idea and they're really pretty. No wonder they sold right away ^_^

Thank you. I have a new set up, hopefully they'll find a buyer soon.

This is me catching up here (finally and blessedly!), so I hope that your eyesight has improved since you posted this entry. Any word? Just to jump on the my-eyesight-is-f@*ked band wagon, I've been having a hard time of it lately. I'm booked in at the opticians this week months ahead of my next exam because I'm squinting all over the place and may need stronger lenses. Humpfh!

Anyway- HOW HAVE YOU BBBEEEEEEEEEEEEENNN?! I'm starved of Naomi and have missed you terribly. Things are always that little bit brighter with messages from you in the wings. Remind me again of the IM things that you've got so that I can start downloading :D

My eyesight was just wonky, maybe, because of the new lenses. But I think I'll probably go blind one day --oh noez!-- best not to think of it.

I've been waiting for a word from you all month! So tell me how the trip went, how the flights went, what you bought, how tanned you got, what you've been up to since getting back... I just got back today from the parents. I have two weeks left of vacation time to finish my many projects. Yaicks! I already interviewed a successful illustrator for my studio management class and I worked a total of 2 days on my seminar paper. Other than that - zilch! Help!
I have an exam on Wednesday.

Ack! Exams- mine went tolerably. I so did not revise enough so it is my own fault- and I went on holiday and I did bugger all the fortnight before that. But it's over now :D ( ... )

How did your eye exam go?

I lost a whole day. Literally. I have no idea what happened. You think this might be a symptom of something?
