I forgot to mention the biggest thing that happened to me this weekend. After --let me count-- 8 years --8 years?!-- of the same stylish but intrusive eyewear, I BOUGHT NEW GLASSES! 2 PAIRS! One is still being assembled, the other, is the one pictured below. I'm getting

Why do I always spend precious hours on hours a night on these posts?
You know that we're all the same. These past two terms I have probably spent more time checking over LJ posts than I have editing essays befpre handing them in. Such is life.

You got new glasses! I think that the green ones are very funky, actually. My glasses are pretty muchthe same shape but a kinda red/pink/maroon colour. Is your hair as dark as it appears in your userpics? If so, even better!

I love it when you post your work in your LJ- is the illustration-inspired-by-a-recipe your homework from Sunday night? Love your friend's work too xXx

You just reminded me I did absolutely no work on my seminar paper this semester. I have nothing! THIS IS NOT GOOD!

Oh the green ones are great. I personally love chunky eyewear, but after 8 years I needed a change. Plus every time I would take them off people immediately told me how great I looked without them and that I should get contact lenses. I got the feeling they were too chunky for my face? Now this. People are fickle.

That illu is the one I wrote about getting done over the weekend Sun. night. The ones I wrote I hadn't done that were also for Monday I didn't post about.
Thank you but she's not my friend. She's a friend of a friend, just someone I know. She used to be a Broadcasting major (ie after effects, videos...) and changed to Illustration this year. She's blossoming, really.

I just do it at home with a color kit. It's easy and not messy at all (I have short hair) and cheap. I'm appalled by how much they charge at the hairdresser for color. But I do dream of one day going to a hair stylist, one that knows just by looking at you what hair cut and color will make you look like a goddess. Like on one of those makeover shows... *sigh*

UGH! You know why I'm writing this at 2:50 AM? Because while I had THE WHOLE DAY to do my HW for tomorrow I didn't start until 21:30. Why? WHY?!

We are so cut form the same cloth, my dear. You knew this but it may help to be reminded that you are not alone- we are crap together (and I have a housemate or two who are the same).

Oi, I missed you:( I'm still on. I've decided under 5 hours of sleep just ain't gonna cut it and I have stuff to do anyways, so I'm staying awake. I just hope that won't make me on the edge in class. Last time I had little sleep I almost cried for no reason I was so high strung.

OK, now I'm going to look for things to do to keep me awake. Using a craft knife probably isn't a good idea.

Yep, so- back to revision... (made the mistake of putting Ewan & Charley Boorman's Long Way Round on in 'the abckground' *pfft*- what was I thinking. Got shit loads to do. Sigh.

I stayed up. Here's the kicker. It's Purim weekend (a holiday like Halloween; you have parties, wear costumes, eat sweets) so virtually no one came and everyone left early. Only 5 of us showed up for class so the teach just did private talks and I went first. Half an hour and I was out of there. Talked some with friends then went home, did laundry, and slept until 22:00. I lost a whole day!

I actually haven't installed YIM on my comp after the upgrade. I use AIM through iChat and gmail now. Do you have that? I promise I'm not one of those that bug:) We could have guilt free chats telling each other to 'start working!' immediately followed by 'wait, did you see the new Torchwood clip? Did Lamiel update?!' LOL

I've never seen that movie, though I've heard about it. Ewan almost lost his leg, didn't he?

Ooooh- is gmail Google Mail? Sophie is always on at me to update to that over my beloved Yahoo! account- the pros sound very appealing and chatting to you would be great- will look into it at the start of next term. I don't bug either- and we can stop missing each other that way, in theory...

Back home (in Manchester) now after a weekend of work in YOrk- revision, revision, revision. In theory...

My friend kept badgering me about gmail that I eventually caved and set up an account, but I still use my yahoo primarily. You could, too:) Tell me if you set up an account.

I wrote it down. If she updates every 4 weeks, we should see an update on April 2nd. So around that time, OMG!

Ugh, I feel like such a sloth... I only did one project yesterday, still haven't touched my seminar paper. This is so going to haunt me later.

... same here. I got all of my revision notes out- there's a suitcase full, but- bleuurgh. I just have no motivation but I need to do it now what with Morocco taking up a sizeable portion of my holiday. Bloody hell...!

Also- April 2nd I will be en route to Morocco. What will I do? TPD cannot be read hastily in an internet cafe! I may just have to wait and read as oon as get back, before The Exam *shudders*

Right- Monday tomorrow. I'm going to get my head down and get to work. I have a full week at my disposal here- some time to revise (and pack! Can't take much, anyway). Naomi! I'm going to miss you! Two weeks?! Will try to pop online somehow to check in :)

Oy! No TPD? I'll remember not to say anything to you then during your vacation. But I predict you won't even think about that or anything online -yes, even me- when you'll be there, you'll have too much fun and be too immersed in hitching rides to think about internet cafes!

Look at me! I'm not doing home work! Though I did manage last night to sit for 20 minutes on my seminar paper and type up a paragraph.

Yep... no work for me either. Sigh. I'm going to faaaaaaaiiiiiilll! But summer term is coming up- whoop! Just get this stupid exam out of the way and back to doing minimal work!

Oh- no, no, no, no, no- no, my dear- no! Over in England the acaedmic year is split into three terms and starts in September/October (Autumn term), post December is Spring term and then April/May- July is Summer term. ANd then we get our summer holidays (three months when you're at Uni- (whoop, whoop!).
