Slattery said Fox worked on three major projects: helping families of incarcerated Iraqis, escorting shipments of medicine to clinics and hospitals in Fallujah and helping form Islamic Peacemaker Teams.
Full Story BBC Background Christian Peacemaker Teams are composed of members of a number of liberal peace churches that have sent out teams to places like Haiti, Iraq, and Palestine to work to promote human rights, non-violence, and peace. They have strong bonds with Jewish, Muslim, and secular peace groups.
I'd like to ask everyone to take a moment of silence for Tom Fox and the other three hostages still being held.
