The 'New' Astrology
Just a quick post about all the 'New Astrology' stuff in the media talking about how Astrologers are dumb as the stars have change:

Really has anyone taken five seconds to look at a book or even Wikipedia? This 'new' astrology is simply Sidereal astrology and more common Tropical system is a very different system.
Sidereal is fixed to how the sun moves through the constellations while the Tropical system, which most people are familiar with, is actually a season system with a start and ending on the vernal equinox as set by Ptolemy. The tropical is more of a yearly calendar with the names of the constellations (which once more of less matched up with the dates) used as the names of the equal length 'months'. Actual observation comes in later in chart making but not in the determination of natal signs.
Seriously if you want to debunk something at lest have a cursory understanding of what you're attacking rather than displaying massive ignorance and group-mind.
How different is this from creationists saying evolution is random so it could not create anything? These people parroting the Astology is wrong due to the stars not fitting the seasons are doing the exact same thing.
