Agh. Trying to catch up on stuff after a back-log of stuff from the weekend. Mostly got some chores done and some other things I need to get done today. Thankfully I'll be able to catch up more on things.
Yeah quick little write-up on the weekend coming hopefully tomorrow.
Couple of quick pics:
Mound City from the South at Hopewell National Park - I had planned to go on the trail that passed around the monument before entering Mound City but had a feeling that I shouldn't as there was something dangerous on the trail. I chalk that up to some frazzled nerves but I should have listened it - a bit down the trail from the Southern connection with the monument I heard a rustling in the brush and something, not sure exactly what, started growling. I started slowly backing up and speaking calmly (apologizing for disturbing it and violating its territory) and spread out my jacket out with my hands to look bigger while preparing myself. Thankfully it didn't charge and I didn't turn around until I was well out of the woods and had passed through Mound City's southern entrance. I warned the only other people there a guy who had two young kids - thankfully he wasn't planning on going down the trails anyways.
Also visited Luperca's statue in Cincinnati that was one of three copies given to the US from Italy in the 1930s (The other two are in Rome, New York and Rome, Georgia). More about that later.
One of the podcasts I listened to while driving was
Buddhist Geeks 121: The Great Work of Western Magick w/Alan Chapman which is worth checking out.
