You know when you look at yourself in the mirror and you basically see what you expected to see, but if you look harder, you can barley recognize who that person is. Hiding behind the facade of being you, there is a stranger that dwells behind those bottomless eyes. Beware of the stranger, which should never be trusted. Trusting this stranger means becoming something you are not. Hiding within; you are scared of yourself. If you let the stranger out, nothing will be the same; you will never be the same ever again. There's a part of yourself that should never break free. "Who are you?" you say into the mirror. "What do you want?" "Who will you become if I set you free?" Be leery of the trusting voice that replies, "You know me. You've known me everyday of your life. I'm you," The reflection replies with a sneer. "I'm the person you are too scared to be." Smashing the will not make the stranger go away, because you realize the stranger is inside you. It will always be inside you as long as you never set it free. Meaning you will never live up to the potential, the talent that you should share with the world. "What is wrong with you? Why can't you do it?" You ask yourself in the mirror. "Because you are scared," the mirror replies. "You're holding yourself back. You need to break free." "I know, I know," you reply as you hang your head in shame. "But I'm afraid it will break me if I do." The reflections answer was quick and honest. "You will die if you don't." So, step out of your shell, if you dare to let the stranger out. But beware if you do, for you will never be yourself again.
