Day off:

Jan 12, 2005 15:28

Well, I'm back!!! Don't everyone be all excited at once; I know I'm not. It seems that every time I get a couple of days off, I come back cleaning up messes that people make. And my manager looking so relieved that I'm back. A very stressful week so far. Thank god we've hired more people, but the won't work as much because they're "new." I had a great time at my mom's house, but this time I really connected with my little sister, Lizzie. She's almost 14 and I feel that she actually understands and appreciates what I have to say. She's even sharing my ridiculous interest in musicals. We saw The Phantom of the Opera and we both loved it. I have the soundtrack, so in the car afterwords we were singing like crazy. Either of us can't sing, but it was fun. My mom wanted to go to Dairy Queen and in the parking lot, Lizzie and I were dancing. I guess some guy inside saw us and as we were walking in, he was walking out, he said, "Killer moves." He said it all sarcastic like. And I said, "Thank you." It was a fun night, but I had to go home. Stupid work!!! I've felt a sense of loss since then and I've never had that before when I've left my mom's house to go home. And the soundtrack is constantly in my head. I keep listening to it over and over again. It's great!!!

Today, I walked to Wal Mart to see if they had my Fifth Element special edition. The bastards didn't have it. I did buy my Leon: The Professional special edition(my favorite movie ever). I also bought the Village. Such a great and smart movie. It's totally plausible and it makes you wonder... I've finished reading Angels and Demons(great book) and I've started reading the Da Vince Code. I can't believe how great these books are. I'm even considering taking religious studies in school to brush up on the history of religion. I'm not really religious. I go by fact more than I have ever gone by faith and I'm just fascinated by history. But history is also distorted, just like the church is. "The past is told by those who win."

The bad news that I've gotten recently is that the movie project is canceled due to ownership problems. I don't want to get into the details, but it makes it sound all professional. I was only doing it because I love movies. I love all that's involved in movies. Oh, well. I'm sad to see it go, but there will always be another project. My other bad news is that my dad owned up on the $500 I owe him. So, yesterday I went to the bank and just about emptied my savings account. Now, I REALLY don't have any money. I have to save some more. I've been spending too much and I need money for school and a car. Well, that's about it. I will update later. (I want to say something poetic here, but alas, I'm not a poet either)

Peace, love and maybe a hug or two,
Sarah
