As has been well-documented, I watch too much TV. Finale season is like my high holy days. Behind the cut, spoilers for The Office, Lost, Big Bang Theory, and 24.
JAM BABIES! Oh, The Office. I love you so. I thought the last scene of "Company Picnic" was just gorgeous. JK and JF do more genuine acting with their faces than most actors do with all of their tools of voice, inflection, gestures, etc. Shock and joy, and yay! Overall, a good episode. When has Dwight ever been more likable? His stalling techniques were hilarious.
24 - so Kim Bauer ruins everything. Again. Do the writers like her or hate her? I can't even tell anymore. They keep bringing her back, but they keep doing ridiculous things to/with her. I like that it is coming down to something personal between Tony and Jack. That works for me.
Also working for me? Penny and Leonard on BBT. I think they're adorable, and they're doing the will-they/won't-they thing very deftly. I'm a sucker for 'shippiness, so sue me. But I love this show, which makes me laugh out loud more consistently than any other, including my beloved Office.
I don't even know where to start with Lost. I hate that Juliet felt like love wasn't enough for her and Sawyer. I hate that Kate ruins everything, because I like Kate but not, apparently, as much as the writers of the show. I like seeing Jacob, and how he's been pulling strings all along to bring everyone around to the Island. "Progress" indeed. And Dead is Dead, eh? Who is "Locke" ? What is the end game, the long con, in all of this? My main, unfounded, hopes are that Juliet and Sawyer end up together, and Desmond and Penny end up together with Penny firmly in the not-dead category. I do love that Juliet literally hit the re-set button. With a rock. But I hate that she was mostly dead and that we have to wait until next year to get more!
