So a short update....

I am here, with my family in Perpignan, waiting to take the night train to Italy, and since my sister seems to think there is a chance we will all die (not planning on it peeps) I am writing an entry to tide you over until I come back from Italy.

Things are looking up here, though they were never really down, so I don't know how up they really are. I finished the term, and next term is looking like some very exciting classes, anthro and archeology plus translation and a few other classes thrown in.

I have been having a major problem with heartburn, but I think (knock on wood) I might have it under control now. Unfortunately, this means not having as much delicious carby food as I would like. *tear*.

What else is there to say? My parents are here, have been for two weeks, and we are going to Italy to visit some family friends- it has been really nice having my parents here, I have missed them a lot, so that is great!

Well, just wanted to give oyu a tidbit of info- and I have remembered two things I wanted to say! Sweet!

So when my parents came to see me in montpellier for the day, I was a little hectic and almost did not find them at the train station. But I found them. Then when we went to buy tickets, we found out the office was closed for the day and we could only use the automated machine- which only work with international bank cards!!! Which we did not have. So we had to search around for a way to get over FIFTY euros in change to buy the tickets, and it took us all afternoon to figure out that the post office has change machines, so we were begging for change at local businesses, and everyone just kept telling me that they did not have the authorization for that kind of transaction. But eventually we got the train tickets with a crazy amount of change, and had just enough time left to race to the platform and get on our train, which was local and sold past capacity, so we had to stand for part of the ride until more people were getting off than on. Interesting I tell you!

Also, while in Perpignan, we went to the palace of the Majorkan kings, which was fun to see. I took tons of pictures, and you will all see them shortly on facebook.

That's about it for now, just wanted to fit one last crazy story in there- now I gotta go do some last-minute packing for the night train!!
