So last night I went out with Daniel Boatman, his wife, Nick, Chris Hatten and his girlfriend and Eddie Boatman. We had alot of fun, nick spilt his beer all over Eddie when we were hanging out at Lagers. After a drink or two there, we went to Mcbee's....not really my cup of tea, a lot of country folks and way too crowded, but Chris's gridlfriend just had to go sing at their little kareokee(i cna't spell it) which was almost all country. I made the best of it and sang along to the word that i read on the screen, I figured i'd make the best of it if i was there.
It was really night to see Daniel, I hadn't seen him in a long time and I missed the wedding so I was able to meet his wife. They seem really happy, I'm very happy for them.
This morning Matt picked me up at my dad's, we got lunch and then headed to Surplus City ( a shooting range). We shot his new Ruger (.45), overall a decent gun, but i rented out a Springfield 1911. I had always wanted to shoot it and it was available to try out. Amazing, the gun pretty much lives up to all the hype people have about this gun, accurate, just heavy enough to keep steady, not a bad kick, great. If i ever decided to buy another handgun, that's the model i want.
Later I met up with Nick and Daniel and his Wife, where we went and met Eddie at his boss's house where they had horses. No one wanted to ride the horse except for me and Daniel's wife. When it was my turn, I took off on the horse. I suppose i'm a natural at riding horses because i was able to simply right it at a pretty fast pace in circles around the fenced in area. .....yeeee haw?
Later after Nick bought the 4 of us dinner, me nad Nick went out to ...well i can't spell it so i'll just say it the way i think it's spelled and you can all live with it Highland Miles. Some band there wasnt' worth the money to go see, but i did get to see a few people from high school up there, the guys from the more preppy groups, but it was nice to see how some of them turned out. Some of them well...heh let's just say i felt pretty good about myself after seeing some of them. Oh yeah the band there was kind of country too.
So it's been a country couple of days i suppose..........but eh gotta say it was still fun
