Jul may not have been painted up in blue and bronze but she was rooting for Ravenclaw. First off her friends (the few she seemed to have left) were in that particular house and secondly because they were playing against Slytherin.
So while she may be in her traditional gryffindor colors she did proudly wave a Ravenclaw banner and watched as the players took the field.

One might wonder why Tia was in the Gryffindor stands. It wasn't as though she was in their house but Daniel was and that made her being here totally okay! At least she hoped so. Maybe game day was not a time to be crossing house lines but whatever. She wanted to watch with her friend. Though, since her house wasn't playing this time around it meant she could maybe sit close enough to get really good commentary from J.J... Tia was a little intimidated by the prospect but it also sounded brill. He'd be okay with that right? Maybe she'd migrate back to her own stands halfway through or so. (How she was going to gage 'halfway' was anyone's guess.) Anyway, CeCe was here so Tia could totally ask the older girl if she had questions. Yep. Her Quidditch game day was SET

Jul had been watching the players take the field and was dissecting Derek's choice of who went where (Ruth Ann for toss up... really??) when she heard a voice directed at her.
"Oh...well.. Gryffindor isn't playing and I definitely prefer Ravenclaw over Slytherin..."
She smiled at the girl and tried to put a face with a name but sighed with defeat and stuck out her hand hoping that if she had met the little the girl would still reintroduce herself anyway. "I'm Jul"
Re: Gryffindor Standstia_bostwickMay 30 2008, 02:09:46 UTC
Tia perked up at the introduction. An invitation! Brilliant. "I'm Tia," she offered, getting up and shaking Jul's hand enthusiastically. "I'm a first year. And, technically not in Gryffindor so, you know. It's okay that I'm here right?" she asked cautiously. If it wasn't okay she probably shouldn't bring it up but hey, better to get it out now than make friends under false pretenses.
She sat down next to the older girl. "No one seems to like Slytherin very much," Tia observed. "Why is that?" Okay, so Tia had noticed that some of the meaner students seemed to come from that house (like the Evil Head Girl who wanted to eat her) but Maddie was a Slytherin too and she was totally okay! It had Tia a bit confused.

"Nice to meet you Tia" Jul genuinely smiled at the ickle (something that was pretty rare for her now-and-days). "It's fine that you're here. You can sit wherever you want, it's just usually people like sitting with their houses."
She looked back out at the field as the girl sat down and glanced as Tobias as he pompously stretched his arms while sitting in front of the goal posts. "Well.." Jul paused and wondered how to approach the question (complete proof she was actually growing up since last year she would have used it as an opportunity to turn the little one against them). "I have a arch nemisis in Slytherin. So it's not really slytherin i don't like. Just him."

Oh, GOOD. She was welcome. Tia bounced a bit in her seat at knowing she wasn't in the way and adjusted her robe so that Sir Herman could peek out of her pocket from her lap. He'd wanted to come to the game even though she told him it was going to be cold. Winter really wasn't the time of year for amphibians but it wasn't as though she would just leave him behind, not when there was something so interesting going on! As a precaution he was wrapped in a toad-sweater (her own invention) that she'd thrown together from a scrap of old scarf. Really, he was just wrapped in it but Tia thought it was as close to clothes as any self respecting toad would get so it would have to do

"That one there." Jul pointed at Tobias and nodded to confirm it; "the keeper."
"We um...well we had a disagreement, which he totally lost by the way, back when we were first years and we've just been fighting ever since. He's a bit of a pompous ar.. jerk."
Jul furrowed her eyebrows just thinking about all of the times they had fought. "If you ever meet him? Don't trust a word he says. Everything out of that boys mouth is evil."
Re: Gryffindor Standstia_bostwickJune 5 2008, 04:33:03 UTC
Tia followed the pointed finger and made a mental note of what she could see from here. The Keeper huh? She returned her gaze quickly to Jul so she could listen. It certainly sounded serious, the way the older girl said it. Tia wouldn't write him off completely until she saw for herself but this was good information to know. She would maybe put off getting to know the Slytherin for awhile.
Still, everything evil? "Really?" Tia looked up at Jul anxiously, unable to quite believe that everything anyone did could be that bad. What would make a person so mean? It was just wrong. Didn't they know people didn't like to be treated that way? "How come?"
Re: Gryffindor Standsjul_agateJune 6 2008, 03:02:29 UTC
"Well just to me? Personally?" She guessed she probably shouldn't speak on behalf of others. "He pushed me into the lake when we were first years, stole my broom when we were in second. Sabotaged my potions final our third year. Created banners against me for quiddith in our fourth year and last year he told everyone I was a lesbian... which i'm not. i'm really not."
With every word Jul spoke faster and higher until she was completely out of breath and exasperated. It didn't even occur to her that this girl might think that out of the two she was the one to steer clear of.

Tia's eyebrow raised as the list grew. "Oh." Well, that was a lot of points against him. Except maybe the lake pushing because Tia was pretty sure she'd contemplated doing that to Daniel a time or two. But only for fun! Him and plenty of others. It was a perfectly good lake! Of course she wanted to push people in given the chance. Then again, Tia's motivation wasn't being mean and it sounded like this keeker bloke's was. "Hmmm." Her eyes turned back to the field as she mulled it all over.
"Well, thanks for telling me," she finally said. "It's kind of hard to get to know people here. At least, the older kids. I can never tell what you lot are thinking. Some of them are really mean."
