Emily snatched the Scottie Dog quickly. "Per usual," she said as she placed it down on Go. It was just so darned cute. And besides, David always stole the Top Hat right from under her nose. One time she would get it! "No more going to your dad's, David. I was so bored the rest of hols. My brother and sister are two of the more boring people in the entire world, of course following my father. I think I watched every movie at the cinema at least four times."
CeCe quickly grabbed the Iron, and made a hissing noise. "I'm going to STEAM you all. You will just be burnt marks on the board when I get through with you," she joked, rather horribly.
She laughed and placed the Iron next to the Top Hat and Scottie Dog. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself."
"Did you see any good ones? I didn't have time. My mum kept me so busy helping her make cookies. Did you two get yours?"
David snorted at CeCe's joke. She was so ridiculous sometimes.
He looked at Emily as she mentioned him not going to his Dad's. This was definitely okay with him. Lottie was such a bore sometimes, and Pippa had wandered off a lot. Besides, hanging out with your sisters was lame. It was much more fun when he was with Emily. "Yeah, I think I'll definitely try to stay at my mom's next year. Well, it is her turn for Christmas. I'll try to spend more days over there."
CeCe's mention of the cookies, however, brought David's attention back quickly. "Yes! And I got the peanut butter ones again, though this year they went more quickly than other years. I think Pippa AND Lottie stole some. Oh, I never asked. What did you guys get?"
He rolled the dice and landed on JUST VISITING jail. Pity, because ideally you wanted to snatch up properties right away. Cursed dice.
"Oh not particularly. There was an action movie I quite liked. I think it was based on that comic. Man, what was his name?" She furrowed her brow in concentration. Damn, it was the only one she liked remotely. "Whatever it was, it was all right, not that great. Besides, the cinema in Boring-on-the-Water is only six months behind the cinema in London." Emily rolled her eyes, picking up the die. She blew on them, for good luck of course
( ... )
CeCe shrugged. "Yeah, I dunno. Well when you remember let me know." It was always fun to have a good movie to go see.
She grinned as she landed on Oriental Avenue. "Excellent," she said as she handed over her money to Emily. "Oh, and I'll let my mum know about the chocolate chip preference. Although, I think our mothers are in cahoots or something." She laughed.
"So David. Did you know that my mother only ever sends the peanut butter cookies to you and Reeve? It's so crazy! Even when I ask her to make me some she just... doesn't. They're so good too!" Her mum was a very peculiar person, indeed. Maybe she thought that growing boys needed more peanut butter cookies?
"A baby grand?! Wow, that's a nice gift. My uncle got me an archery set! It's so cool! Now I can practice with Maddox on the grounds." CeCe was very excited about this. Not only was it fun, but it was challenging too. Just what she liked.
David was sort of pleased that he wasn't the only one who got lame gifts. "My dad gave me a yo-yo. A yo-yo... I don't know if it's some werewolf thing, but I wasn't impressed. And Pippa and Lottie's gifts were predicatable." Not that his were any better, actually. David's gifts were made of fail, as usual.
"Really? I must be pretty special then. I'd save some for you but I think they lasted two days."
He rolled the dice and landed on... St. James Place! Didn't he get that one last time? He turned to grin at Emily. "Oh I think I'm going to buy this one."
"I wouldn't put it past them," she said, shaking her head. Emily propped her elbows onto the table, cupping her hands around her chin. She watched the game closely. "Yeah, a baby grand is a great gift. Too bad Mariela won't let me near it. I think she forgets that I can play piano too!" She rolled her eyes.
"NO!!" Emily lifted her head from the goblet she made with her hands. "Seriously? How do you always get it?" She laughed, shaking her head. No really. He always landed on St. James Place before she could. Damn.
