When: Saturday, November 11th, early morning
Where: corridor in front of the great hall
What: Big Honkin' PLOT!

Having cleared off all the garbage from the notice board next to the entrance to the great hall (she couldn't help but wonder if anyone had ever gotten that Firebolt), Ruth Ann set to work.

What had begun as a simple, petty vendetta on her part had managed to escalate to something much more over the past few months, as was apparent from the amount of time, effort, and indeed, money that she had invested in it. Granted, she'd made some of that money as a result of this whole thing (if nothing else, the Prophet certainly paid its freelance reporters well), but it was, as always, the concept of the thing. And this was a very good concept, in her mind. Write a few articles for fun, make some cash, and bring a well-known and firmly established company to its knees. There were certain things you didn't mess with in life. One of these things was highly vindictive and slightly abnormal twelve year olds. Really, the owners and editors at the Daily Prophet had only themselves to blame.

Opening her book bag, Ruth Ann removed the article that she had carefully clipped from this morning's Quibbler and firmly attached it to the centre of the bulletin board with several well-placed stapling charms. Next, she removed three more articles, these from various Prophets, and affixed them around the central article. With some difficulty, she transfigured all the clutter she'd cleared from the board into a shelf, and used a sticking charm to attach it to the stones just below the bulletin board. On this she placed several paperback copies of three different Muggle books. Purchasing them had pretty much used up everything she'd made by writing articles for the Prophet, but she'd looked on that money as ill-gotten gains anyway, and so it actually kinda balanced out in the end.

Lastly, Ruth Ann took a large sign from her bag and carefully Levitated it to the top of the board, sticking it in place with another charm. The sign itself was charmed to be sparkling and flashy, drawing the eyes and attention of any and all who were destined for the great hall. This done, she took a step back and surveyed her work. It was gorgeous. Pleased, Ruth Ann pushed the double doors open, and cheerfully skipped off to breakfast.
