End of Term Banquet

Tonight was the student's last night at Hogwarts and the Great Hall was decorated accordingly. The house tables were lined with their respective colors and the food laid out upon them seemed neverending. Everything about tonight was about celebrating another year gone by.

((due to lateness and such i deeply ask for forgiveness on posting this entirely to late. not that it'd change much but you know. ANYWAYS.))
Dumbledore raises his hands to silence the tables and bauses for a moment to let the students finish eating and find a seat at their proper house tables. All eyes seem to be on Dumbledore and he looks...old, tired. His voice seems like a whisper even though it fills the entire room.
"Another year has passed and we find ourselves here one last night before continuing on our own respective journeys. As you embark out into the world all I ask is that you stay aware of your surroundings and never stop learning. Our world is full of many things; the wonderful and the terrifying.
As for school matters; I'm happy to announce that Slytherin has taken the house cup for the year. Many interesting things have happened during the school year but Slytherin has proven themselves to determined to fail in the face of adversity.
Perhaps we could all take a lesson from this group and try to remember never to give up on our goals and dreams.
Enjoy your summer. I hope to see you all again in the fall."
