Scott climbed up high into the stands, grinning at the view of the pitch. Coming early was always a good plan for these games. The place got packed fairly sharpish. "Lucky the snow held off," He muttered as he stepped over a few peoples legs until he reached his preferred destination.

Oh, brilliant. He couldn't wait for this. They were going to wipe the floor with them! Scott was sure of it.

Maible looked up as someone sat down in the seat beside her. She gave him a shy smiled as she idly played with the ends of her hair, which she had charmed scarlet and gold for the occasion.

It was silly to feel shy around Scott, because they'd talked before and even bonded a little over their love for animals. But he was still a boy and a cute one at that, so she couldn't quite help herself.

"No snow," she observed a little quietly, "but it's still cold." She paused briefly, then added. "Gryffindor will win for sure, don't you think?" She didn't care what Tobias had said; she knew her team was going to win this!

"Oh, hey Maible!" He hadn't noticed who he was sitting next to. But this was good! Someone he knew. The last time he'd been with a girl called Addie. That had been fun too, getting to know other people...but still, being able to have a proper conversation without introductions was usually more enjoyable. "Oooh, your hair is cool! Can you do the same to mine?" He asked excitedly. The boy already had streaks of red and gold paint across his cheeks, but Scott didn't dare go near anything that involved charms and pointing his wand at himself. Last time he did that he knocked over the Hufflepuff captain. That had been embarrassing.

Scott looked around at everyone else around them, they were smartly dressed with their big robes and everything. He hadn't really thought that far ahead, though he did have two pairs of socks on. "Yeah, it is a bit, but you won't notice it when the game starts," He assured, ignoring the want to allow his teeth chatter.

Maible grinned and pulled out her wand, thankful she'd gotten Ashleigh to help her practice this charm. She blushed slightly as she performed the spell, feeling a bit self-concious, though that went away as the charm worked and she gave him more of a satisfied smile.

"There, that should do nicely," she told him, grinning as she put her want away.

Scott bent his head down to her wand, completely trusting her wandwork over his own. And she was a third year. Merlin, he should practice more. He caught sight of Addie and returned her wave as he felt his hair tingle slightly before turning red and gold. Scott grinned widely as the strips of gold and red spread across his head. Deadly! It wasn't exactly what you'd call subtle, but it worked!

"Aw, brilliant! Thanks!" He laughed, running his hands through his hair as if he could feel the colours. "How've you been?" Asked Scott, continuing to mess with his hair. He really was just a big child.

Maible beamed proudly. She was glad he liked it, because it would have been dreadfully embarrassing if he hadn't.

"I've been good," she told him, laughing a little as he messed with his hair. It was kind of cute how he did that. "It's been a pretty good week. Got to see my dad and everything, too."

He stopped messing finally and started paying proper attention when she spoke. Scott smiled, glad to hear all was well with her. "That's always nice to hear, and now if Gryffindor can just win this thing my day will be complete!" Laughed the boy, mentally having to stop himself from messing with his hair further.

"And how's your dad and his work stuff?" Scott asked, glancing out at the pitch. Where were they? The stands were filling up quickly, surely they were nearly ready to come out?

Maible nodded. A Gryffindor win was an absolute must, of course. She was sure they wouldn't lose, though. They definitely had the best team.

She was glad to talk some more about her dad and she grinned as she answered. "He's just grand," she told him. "We had dinner Friday night and everything. It was great! And he seems to be doing well, too."

Scott grinned. He always liked to see people that liked their parents, there seemed to be too many people around that didn't. Fortunately for him, he adored his. They were a little unconventional, but he was well used to it by now. Between potions testing and hippogriff handling though, Scott had reason to enjoy spending time with them both. It was likely he'd lose one or both of them at any time. Stupid adrenaline junkies.

"Oh, good! That's good that you got to see him. Mine weren't able to come, something about avoiding elitist prats that they knew were going to be there." Scott replied, his tone drier as he continued the sentence. To say his relations annoyed him would be an understatement.

"Oh, that's rough, I bet," she sympathized. She couldn't really relate to that, except that her mum liked to avoid her dad, but that was different. Not that she understood that either, because her dad was brilliant and she was a bit young to really understand why her parents couldn't be together.

He shrugged. It was rough, but what could he do about it? If they wanted to be discriminatory prats that was their problem. "Guess so," Scott shrugged, glancing out at the pitch to try and break where ever the conversation was headed. He really didn't want to talk about this here, today was meant to be a fun day of support. He realised just who he was talking to and then really didn't want to talk about it. Scott facepalmed himself. How just...not thoughtful of him in any way.

"So, I hit the Puff captain with a spell on Monday." There, that should be a good subject changer!

Scott obviously didn't want to talk about it, which was fine. Maible understood, because it wasn't like they were good friend and she didn't like talking about her family life much either.

Her eyes widened as her mentioned hitting the Puff captain with a spell. "Really? What did you do? Did you get into trouble?" Maible wondered how it was possible she hadn't heard about this!

Addie wanted to make sure she got a good enough seat for quidditch. But then had to decide between people watching during the game or focusing on the field... She wrapped her gryffindor scarf tighter around her neck and headed for the front of the bleachers.

She passed by Scott..and some girl..she looked younger (and therefore Addie could care less) and gave him a wave as she passed and sat down by herself.
