Ed led Ashleigh into the Slytherin stands, glad he had a girlfriend who didn't mind sitting with his house instead of her own. He wasn't about to cheer for Gryffindor in this match, because a Hufflepuff win would be much more in favor for his team winning the Cup.

And they would win if Ed had to catch the damn snitch himself! Luckily, Alex was a great Seeker and Ed trusted him to get it done. The whole team was great actually, best in the school if you asked his opinion. Yes, that trophy would be theirs.

Ashleigh, though she was quite a bit more comfortable with being in the quidditch stands, stuck to Ed's side until they'd found their seats. Even then, she didn't give the boy much breathing room. It was cold, after all. It was her girlfriendly duty to steal every ounce of his body heat.

"Are we cheering for Hufflepuff?" she teased, knowing that he didn't, exactly, want her own house to win.

She didn't mind being such a house traitor when it came to quidditch. She knew that the quidditch cup was quite important to her boy and, really, she just wanted him happy.

Her hands pressed together and rested between her knees for the extra warmth. Though she wouldn't tell just anyone, she'd become quite fond of the sport -though she still didn't like the height it was played at- and she was actually just a little excited. Something that would, surely, make her father proud.

Ed really didn't mind donating said body heat, so he pulled her close, nodding at her assumption. "Yes, Hufflepuff needs to win this one. Not that we won't beat Gryffindor anyway," he told her.

What, Ed? Focus on what needed to happen for his team to win the Cup? Well, yes, actually. The only thing more important to him was the girl in his arms and even that was a close race.

Ashleigh playfully stuck her tongue out at him. "It must be nice to have a girlfriend that is totally devoted to your house instead of her own - when it comes to the Cup, anyway."

This could, potentially, cause a rift in most couples - or, at least, some friendly competition. However, Ashleigh wanted Ed to win the Quidditch Cup just as much as Ed did. He deserved it, in her eyes. He'd certainly worked hard enough for it.

She grinned at him as she slipped her hand into his.

Watching the games with Ed was rather nice; though, she had to admit, she was quite ready to see him in a game. The view became so much nicer when her boy was on the pitch.

"Yes, I'm quite the lucky guy," Ed told her, and though his tone was teasing he really did mean that, because he did feel lucky to have Ashleigh.

Ed turned to look at his girlfriend for now, because the game hadn't started yet, and he pulled her a little closer.

"I'm going to miss all this next year," he mused quietly.

Ashleigh grinned brightly when he said that he was lucky. Sure, he was joking but he'd said it enough that she knew that he meant it as well. She, honestly, felt like the lucky one but if he wanted to feel lucky because of her, who was she to argue with him?

"Mmmm, I suppose that we'll just have to attend a few professional matches, then? I'm sure that Daddy could help with the acquiring of tickets." She gave his hand a squeeze. She knew that he was going to miss so much more than watching. He was going to miss playing and being captain... he really did enjoy the game - all aspects of it.

"Besides," she teased. "If you miss being captain too much, I'll let you scream and boss me around."

It wasn't just the being captain or playing quidditch that Ed would miss, though he couldn't help but laugh at her comments. It was all of it.. hanging out with her and with his friends, going to quidditch games and having a relatively.. uncomplicated life.

Soon they'd graduate and he'd hopefully be off to Auror training and she'd do whatever she wanted to do. It would be a big change and even though he knew they were up for it, he was going to miss just being a kid.

Of course Ashleigh had missed the full meaning of his words. She didn't want to think about how much she was going to miss everyone and everything. She loved school, she fit at school. Honestly, she was afraid that she would get into the 'real world' and wouldn't be any good at it.

When he didn't really say anything, she squeezed his hand and leaned over to plant a quick kiss to his cheek. "I'm sure that next year will be brilliant for completely different reasons," she mumbled, referring to their future plans. Though, to be completely honest, that was more of a reassurance for her than him.

Ed knew Ashleigh was going to be brilliant at whatever she ended up doing. That was just how it was when you loved someone, though. You believed they could do anything.

"Of course it will be," he told her with a confident grin, pulling her in closer as the game started and her turned his attention to focus on the game.

Ashleigh was content to simply lean against him and let him focus on the game. Though he wouldn't normally ignore her, she wasn't one of those mean girlfriends that demanded he give her loads of attention while there were players in the air.

Besides, she'd learned to love the sport since she'd began dating him and she was more than happy to watch with him.

She cheered when he did and moved when he moved, falling, quickly, into their normal rhythm for Quidditch matches.

Ed loved watching quidditch almost as much as he loved playing. Almost. He watched intently, occasionally letting out a good yell or appreciation or disdain for a particular play, but for the most part, he was searching for weaknesses, especially in the Gryffindor team, for things he could use against them later.

It was a serious business, this quidditch. Especially when one intended to take the Cup for themselves.

He winced slightly as one of the Hufflepuff chasers caught a bludger in the gut. Oh, that had to hurt. Though he couldn't help being impressed that the bloke managed to stay on his broom anyway.

Ashleigh couldn't help the occasional grin in Ed's direction. In her opinion, he was quite adorable when he was lost in the game.

Her eyes widened and she gasped when a Hufflepuff took a bludger to the stomach.

Her brow furrowed slightly as she continued to watch. Things like that always reminded her about how dangerous Quidditch could be.

Ashleigh worry about her boyfriend? Never!

Ashleigh didn't need to worry, because Ed had excellent reflexes and he knew how to dodge a bludger, thankyouverymuch. Anyway, the danger was half the fun of quidditch, it was an adrenaline rush.

Of course, he didn't notice if Ashleigh looked worried or anything, because he was focusing intently on the game, watching the moves on both sides.
