Lenore sipped at her coffee and surveyed the milling crowd with another smile. It was true, she couldn't precisely say much about the Department of Mysteries. Really, it either sold itself based on the utter lack of information given or people assumed it was just too boring to tell and never bothered. Either way, Lenore wasn't really here for recruitment. This was a vacation from her current project (which was still being difficult) and a chance to socialize; and oh, did Lenore love to socialize. She sent Salix across the room an unimpressed look and wondered just how long she should sit here minding things before it was alright to give up pretenses and wander around. The pamphlets on the table said as much as she could anyway.

It was true, Amorisa still wasn't sure what she wanted to do, she had ventured through many tables today, picking up many pamplets and fliers. Hell was a third year even supposed to know what they wanted to do at this time?
Approaching Lenore, she smiled brightly. "Hi, you work for the Department of Mysteries? That sounds really interesting. What do you do over there?" Amorisa said all smiles

Lenore smiled. She was really going to have to come up with some good rumors to spread about her department. Answering that she couldn't say was just going to get old but for now she'd play nicely. It was too early for real creativity anyway. Another cup or so and she'd be good.
"Oh, plenty of things," she nodded, "unfortunately they're unspeakable, thus the name." Lenore noted the handful of brochures and how very young the girl seemed. Merlin, school was awhile ago. To think that some of the students like this one belonged to her coworkers was an odd touch of reality she choose to ignore- or perhaps save to laugh at later. "Hitting all the booths, I see. Any good ideas yet?"

Amorisa picked up a brochure and smiled brightly at the woman. "No ideas yet, but then again I'm only a third year, so I don't know how they really expect us to have an idea of what we want to do at the moment."
Reply
"Mm, true. And nor should you. Merlin, I think when I was in third year I wanted to chart stars or something bland like that. You've plenty of time to figure it out," she assured.

She'd jumped on the opportunity when it had come up, of course.
"It is," Lenore nodded. "As better than some, less than the Minister. I can say that I highly recommend it."

She made her way over, probably one of the very few students who wasn't holding a bunch of pamphlets, and relaxed considerably as she saw a familiar face. "Lenore! Hi!" she greeted the Unspeakable working the booth as she approached.

Lenore stood up to greet Dari properly, giving the girl a hug because, well, Lenore was in a good mood. It would be nice to have a quasi serious discussion with one person while she was here and Merlin knew the girl had potential. "Have you been thinking more about that internship this summer then?"
Reply
Then when she mentioned the internship, Dari practically bounced with enthusiasm. She'd been a little afraid to believe the internship was real and that they really wanted her.
"Oh yes.. yes, I would love to.." she bit her lip as she realized how giddy she must sound. And stupid. "I mean, if the offer is still good, it sounds like a wonderful opportunity!"

There was something refreshing about talking to a seriously interested party after a day of fielding questions she couldn't answer and making responses up. Alright, the making things up had been fun but still. Lenore was suddenly glad she'd left Ed to his recruiting to come back and check on things here.

"Oh, I definitely am," she told the woman. "Definitely. I said that already, didn't I?" She laughed a little nervously and took a glance around the room, trying to force herself to calm down.
"I'm surprised they gave you a booth at this thing," she commented, her tone much more normal now. "I mean, you can't actually tell anyone anything. You must be terribly bored." She paused and gave a little laugh. "Then again, I suppose if they gave the socialities a booth." She paused again to roll her eyes. "Nothing should surprise me."

"So, how are classes going?"
